Hi Sherrilou
Thanks xx. I am in the north of the county, so anything from Stroud upwards. You're hoping for Bristol I take it?:D0 -
Does anyone have any idea about how long it will be before those who are successful in interview will hear? Or even when they will hear if they have been unsuccessful?
I'm not sure I could cope with waiting around for another month AFTER the interview!!0 -

Congrats on your interview! I think they would have to wait until any successful candidates had formally accepted a job offer. Then - if any of them were to decline :rotfl:, they would most likely offer it to another candidate - in order of merit.
So it could take quite a while unfortunately - but for good reason.0 -
I don't understand why some people still haven't got their sift scores but others have already been invited to interview???
My husband works for JCP and last week all of the staff in his office have been asked if they want to apply for a transfer WITHIN THE DISTRICT. All applications for transfer will be considered. This means that the availability of posts within individual offices will change.
His friend asked if he would be able to apply to transfer to a 'smaller, nicer [his words]' office [in a quieter area of the district] and has been told that there are no places available there at all.
This particular office was listed on the working locations form I completed and was my first choice!! Not looking good......:(0 -

Black Country is it?

It was Brum0

Crikey. There were only 3 to choose from! Take one out and there'd be an issue....
Still no scores from there anyway so will pin all hopes on BC now and wait, patiently.... sigh...0 -
Funny thing was that most staff asked if they could actually transfer DISTRICT [from Brum to BC] but this is not allowed.
If it was then there'd be zilch posts left in BC! hehe:D0 -
Redsky1977 - I have been invited to interview and haven't received my competency scores back yet, as have a few others that have posted on here. This process seems to have no logical pattern at all, I just dont get it at all.0

I'll give them a call and ask to resend..thanks and good luck for your interview:osammyjammy wrote: »Congratulations, no need to do research. The interview is competency based as well so they can only ask you about them and nothing else. They may ask you for more evidence of the examples on your form (to fill in the gaps). Get together some other examples unless you are asked for them, particularly an example of where something didn't go so well and how you managed it, its not all about successful outcomes but how you dealt with it.
Good tips are, repeat the questions back to them to give yourself time to think, don't worry about a silence, if you need to have a think ask them it give you a minute, when you've answered the question check with them that you've given them the info required, try and think of an intelligent question to ask them about the job such as will you actually be posted into a position dealing with the 18-24 group or could it be other customer groups. All these tell them you've considered the questions and your answers thoughtfully and you're interested in what you would be doing.
Best of luck.
2 days after my interview email, I cannot see my competency scores yet on the CS site.
edit
Thanks also to the FM who posted the link to DWP interview prep PDF, I thought I had included it in my multiquote.0
