  • Hello All!

I have been lurking for the past few days as I completed my application and I have now sent off the competencies and completed the online test! There was lots of valuable information on this thread that helped me so thank you all for your contributions and good luck!

Like some others I have applied for more than one district and I had to complete the online test twice. I think its a technical issue with the site though as I didn't have to re-do the test for a third district I applied for a little later. While you're probably not supposed to do the test again once you've passed, if you have "simultaneous" applications it doesn't seem to register that you've already passed - hope that makes sense!

It does seem unfair to be able to have more goes at the test than others so I think they'll probably say only the first test counts...

I have it on good authority that each test is judged separately for each district. It is not only your first test which counts. Try again for another district if your score is poor first time! ;)

I tried to apply for another district, a bit more travelling but I really don't mind. So I put in all my details and submitted hoping to get another crack at the situational judgement part of the test however it is telling me that the test is already complete and my original percentile has been carried over so that's no good. Grrr

Hi! I was thinking that it was all separate too but I'm not sure if that's correct now because I applied for two districts at the same time - before any testing - and then had to do the test twice. However I added another district later (today) and the test was automatically marked as completed with the scores for the first test I did - I read someone else on here experiencing the same thing.

So adding another district for another go at the test didn't work for me...has it worked for anyone else? AFTER they've completed the test has anyone sent off competencies for another district and then had a chance to re-do the test?

P.S. Luckily I did very well in the test so I'm asking out of curiosity mostly, I just don't think they'd let more than one test stand if they're not having a separate test for each and every application.

I put my applications in after doing the comps all at the same time and have been able to do the test again so it would seem if you put in for another area after finishing one test that score stands but if all the apps were in before the test you can do it again

    Overall Score (percentile): 71%

    Interpreting your score

This means that your score on this exercise was higher than at least half of the group of people you have been compared to. You have performed above average in responding to the case studies presented in the exercise.
Analysis and Interpretation Raw Score: 18/24 (75%)
Action Planning Raw Score: 239/336 (71%)

Just wondering if I have done the test at NORMAL time (just finished) - would the score be any better?
And with this score.. will I get any further with my application.....

    Sigh...

What would be useful - comparing the scores between people applying for jobs in the same area....I think...

There is no way of knowing whether you'd have done better at a 'normal' time of day. Did you feel tired during the test? I know it requires a lot of concentration so this might have got in the way but frankly, you did better than me and I did the test at a 'normal' time. Sounds like you're in with a chance of getting an interview though I think it depends on how other people have done. Don't worry, you've done well!

    Thanks I hope so...

Yes, was a bit tired for "mental task" but wanted to have it done and out of the way to be honest...

Anyone knows when the interiew dates will be communicated to those who are lucky enough to get one?

Probably within 2 weeks after closing date, then will be booked online for between 24th feb-8th march.

Likely they will need to finish sifting before telling candidates if successful at sift, its possible that if unsuccessful you may find out earlier but who knows.........
