Thunderplex got a much higher score than you for the Action Planning which could explain the percentile difference.
No, they scored 10% higher in the action planning but 4.25% less than me for the analysis. so that by my calculations brings the percentage difference to 5.75%, not the 8% DWP have scored. And the percentile scoring is done by region, isnt it? My feedback says I scored higher than 86% of people that took the test, not the control group.Baby Mazza due New Years Day 2013!0 -

I got 97%. My record showed that I still had to do the test again for B'ham - did it and scored 99%. On the last day I put in a last minute application to Staffs/Shrops - no option to complete test, my 97% from Black country had been carried over.
You didn't need to do the test again because you'd already done it when you submitted your application for Staffs/Shrops but not when you submitted your application for Birmingham.
I've applied for 2 areas. I submitted the first application, did the sift test and then submitted the application for the second area and didn't need to do the test again as my score was carried over.
I've had a thought about why people are getting their competency feedback at different times. Could it be connected to when you submitted your application? This would appear to be the case with redsky.
I submitted mine a couple of days before the deadline which could explain why I'm still waiting.0 -
I'm frazzled waiting to hear back. Am going to eat a lot of chocolate and bite my nails down to the quick. Not at the same time, of course.

I applied for Birmingham on the last day - my other 2 apps had gone in several days earlier - however my sift scores for B'ham came in yesterday afternoon but still nothing for my other two - one of them being the Black Country region. So no I don't think the sift scores are coming in related to when you submitted your applications.0 -
Well I certainly hope that the ones who get the jobs are slightly brighter than the JC advisor who interviewed my friend last week.
He's graduated from University with a degree in computer science and programming.
The advisor asked him what his degree was in...so he told her.
She then said that some jobs require using a computer and asked him if he had any experience using one. :wall:
I told my friend that he should have just replied that he'd never touched one. :rotfl:
to be fair the staff are so over worked at the moment they don't have time to interact as they should with jobseekers. Most staff can't wait for the new recruits to arrive so that there can be more interaction with the customers. I for one must come over as a right misery when signing because when you have a queue of people moaning about how long they are waiting loud enough for you to hear I dread anyone telling me any more than their name and address because I know it means the queue has to wait even longer as I don't want to be rude to the person in front of me. Some days it's difficult to look up from the desk it is so busy. All I am getting at is the advisor your friend saw probably didn't fully take in what was said to her because she may have had three people sat behind your friend huffing and puffing (because obviously they had a packed day ahead)0 -

I don't think it's done by region but I could be wrong.
Way back in the thread there was a post about the weighting of each different part of the test.
The percentile scores aren't what percentage you scored but are worked out using a graph (as in children's growth charts etc.)
I worked out my scores and they were 80+% worked out as a percentage, using the weightings (I can't remember the exact score now) but I was rated on the 94th percentile - meaning that my score was better than 94% of other people 'who took the test.'
Again, if you look way back (or do a thread search) there's an explanation of why it's scored against a control group. Basically, your percentile would change the nearer to the deadline if you were scored against all the other people taking the test as you would be rated against more people. So, you could be, for example, in the 95th percentile on the first day yet possibly 75th percentile by the deadline.0 -

Are you male? If you were female, you'd be able to multi-task :rotfl:0 -

It was just a thought as I'd submitted mine late on in the process and I haven't heard from either region yet.0 -

I don't think the flavours would blend. Yes, I am a female of the slightly ditzy variety, with DWP dreams. ::sighs wistfully::
