They also offer a PAYG account with no upfront payments. Although I think I read the min.invoice value is £10 so you need to send atleast 10 parcels.

I can't see any way that it would be £1 or else nobody would bother paying them £600 up front.

Your basically paying them for the priviledge of having a credit facility.

Just checked, the min.invoice is infact £20, not £10.
  • Thats interesting.

Can you guys keep me posted on how it goes, could be very interested in using Paypound Express in the future if all goes well.

    Cheers
  • It amazes me how many people want to run down a new service that seems to br trying to do a decent job at a decent price. The prices are not a huge amount cheaper than i pay with a royal mail business account however they are tracked. The royal mail lose about 3 in every 100 parcels I send, I am prepared to give them a go. They collected from me on Monday, I am aware of teething problems but their responses to date have been very honest and helpful and they have done the right thing by taking bookings off line for a few days until they resolve problems.
To all of those who are happy paying expensive couriers then that's great, keep paying them but I don't think you should be so quick to berate a new company having a go. DHL charge an extertionate price if booked direct yet significantly lower if booked through parcel2go etc - it's still the same driver who is going to deliver the parcel! To me, that says they overcharge in the first place. Yes it's the first week and they appear to be having technical issues but I should imagine this also happened when Yodal etc went live. The driver who came to me didn't seem unhappy in his job, far from it, and also came back as I wasn't ready so although it is a pain that things aren't going as smoothly as I hoped I am going to give them a chance again on Monday when they reopen
  • I had same problem, payg customer, posting 10 boxes for £20 + vat 24.00. Would have cost me approx 60.00 with RMail
completed order at 3.45pm yesterday, printed labels, awaited collection till i went bed! Didn't happen.
Conatced support via ticket - still no response as of yet... will keep you all posted / unlike paypound ha ha.

Anyone else find it strange that people would join a forum like this one just for their first posts to be a plug for a service being questioned.

  • This service has a minimum £20 collection for pay as you go users- but each item after 20 items is only a £1 ljust ike you business users. I am a sole trader and I have not had to put the £500 up front which is great!
