Back from a lovely holiday, just about managed to fit everything into the car but was a tight squeeze! Spent more than I planned but was our first holiday for years and think it was more important to enjoy ourselves
Spent today catching up with all the washing, luckily it's been a gorgeous day and managed to dry the majority on the line. Also managed to clear the garden of all the dead bedding plants. It's looking bare now though so need to try and get a few bits to brighten it up. It's little ones birthday soon and got lots of people visiting so would like it to look nice.
September OP of £250 paid whilst we were away and interest was paid on our ISAs which was a nice surprise. Net position of mortgage to savings getting closer to meeting :T0 -
Since getting back from holiday I've been really motivated to get the house & garden sorted before little ones birthday. Managed to catch up with all the housework over the last few days so just need to maintain it's tidy state now.
Also spent nap time digging and clearing the garden yesterday, now it's dark once little ones are in bed there's no time to do anything then. We went to the garden centre on Sunday and got a few plants for pots so garden is looking quite nice.
OH got notification of a tax rebate yesterday, only £12 but I asked if I could have it to add to next month's OP and he said yes  Progress0 -
Had a lovely weekend celebrating little one's birthday, cost more than I'd planned but we had such a great time it was worth it
Back to MSEs ways from today. OH paid so CC paid and Hal Reward money in and out including £10 rewards for towards next months OP.
Spent last night listing on Ebay, couple of bids already so really pleased.
NSD as rain stopped us from going out anywhere. Luckily all the new birthday toys kept little people happy.
Need to start making lists for Christmas as I've no ideas yet what to get anyone :eek:0 -
End of September update
Mortgage Overpayment £250 paid
Ebay £33.94 profit target was only £10 :j & Reviewing £20 target was £20
Grocery £23.10 over £300 target.
October Targets
Mortgage overpayment £260 (£200 regular OP, £10 HR, £20 reviewing & £30 ebay)
Groceries £360
Ebay £10
Reviewing £20
Get on with Christmas shopping, budget plan all done so just need to decide what to get people. Every year I'm amazed at how long my list of people I buy for is, I love Christmas and giving gifts but wish it wasn't so expensive. Am determined to stick to my budget and I've got the advantage that little ones are still too young to be wanting expensive presents.
Sorted out the rest of little ones clothes from last winter so can list them on ebay next weekend. Was really pleased that all their stuff I listed on ebay last week sold.0 -
The month started well with quite a few NSDs last week but I've started Christmas shopping now so may not manage as many this week.
Ebay selling went well again last weekend and have nearly reached my October target and have another £20 requested from reviewing :T Will be taking advantage of FLW next weekend and hoping to clear the clear most of my 'to sell' box by the end of the month. Will probably list another job lot / car boot box to get rid of what I haven't sold to free up some space.
Have signed up for the Mortgage Free in 3 challenge to give me extra focus on getting this mortgage cleared!0 -
Ebay sales didn't go as well as I'd hoped tonight but will relist what hasn't sold when I take advantage of free listing tomorrow.
Have finally taken note of :money: today and switched to a fix on our Electric and Gas. Was nervous of doing this but £100 a year saving, £26 cashback and avoiding price hikes made it easy in the end! Just hope it all goes smoothly, opted for a no cancellation fix so can always change back if I want to for any reason.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend0 -
Having a better ebay week with bids on 4 items already and a good spread of watchers. Also attempted to make my first redemption on a survey site, got to payout within a week which was better than I thought and got cashback pending for joining. Just waiting for it to become actual money and then I will add it to November's OP.
Winter doom and gloom seems to have arrived early in the TwinnyD household. Little people are poorly so really tired from run of broken nights, had to take one to the Docs today (obviously took the other one with me too!) and there was a long wait for emergency Dr. This resulted in me and my double buggy constantly being in the way whilst waiting. Then there was the long wait at the chemist, was even more exhausted by the time I got home
Future isn't looking great for OH's job, think his boss is just waiting for new year before laying him off. Going to be a big change for us and not one we're looking forward to0 -
Ah the weekend, time to relax and hopefully watch the ebay bids roll in0

Thanks icontinuetodream, welcome back
Things going better here with healthy little people and lots of ebay salesStill waiting for a few slow payers but if they all pay up should be at £40 for October which I'm really pleased with as I'm only selling low value items. Did end up spending most of last night packaging everything that I'd sold, wasn't expecting to sell as much as I did! Still found time to list a few more things though to take advantage of free listing.
Received payment from my first go at surveys so will carry on with that and OH has said he'll give it a go too0
