    Mortgage-free Glee!
    End of May update

Mortgage overpayments £45 (target was £45)
    Outstanding £81,431

Ebay profit (after charges and including p&p profit) £7.48 (target was £5)

Grocery challenge £376 against £360 target. Over again but as I feel I'm setting challenging targets this isn't bad. Gained a few petrol coupons too so a bit of a saving there.

Life Insurance all sorted and will save us £7.56 a month, really pleased with the saving and that we now have far more suitable cover.

Little ones accounts all sorted, feel better now they are earning a decent amount of interest.

Review writing has resulted in my first reward already, much quicker than I expected :T

    June Targets

Mortgage overpayment back up to £200

    Grocery target £300
Couple of Mr T offers £5 off when you spend £40 and £15 off when you spend £60 to take advantage of this month so hoping to be on target.

    Ebay profit target £8
Hoping OH might come up with a few bits to sell for me this month.

A couple of big spend items coming up this month so hoping that things aren't looking too bad come the end of June. I'm sure I must be saving loads by being able to dry washing on the line instead of using the Tumble Dryer all the time.

Another month gone, think I blinked and missed it! Think maybe I need to add 'keeping diary updated' to my July targets. Hasn't been a great money saving month but managed to get cheaper quotes on the 2 insurances I had to renew by changing providers. Also got some cashback on using links to comparison websites so was happy with the result and don't need to worry about them for another year.
Both mine and OH's driving licenses are due for renewal so got that to sort out now, it took me 6 months to do the passports so hoping I get round to this a bit quicker!

    End of June update

Mortgage overpayments £220 (target was £200) extra was first payment from review website :T
Outstanding £80,658 should be below £80k next month which will be a good motivational push!

Ebay profit (after charges and including p&p profit) £8.01 (target was £8 :D )

Grocery challenge £344 against £300 target. Keep exceeding this but it makes me think about what we spend and don't feel I'm buying anything we don't need.

    July Targets

Mortgage Overpayment £220 and Groceries £300 again

    Ebay £10 & Reviewing £20

Eat up what's in the freezer, can't believe it's still full :( I keep being tempted by offers so need to ignore the freezer section, this would be easier if I shopped in store!

Think I'll try NSDs, ignoring DDs I'm going to aim for 15 as no idea how many I'll achieve. Had one today so that's a good start.

    Update diary!

Here I am keeping my diary updated :)

I'm finding the NSD target useful and so far OH & I have both managed 2 for July. I have my food shopping being delivered today so that means spend for today and OH is out tomorrow but hoping to reach the 15 NSD target.
I've done a meal planner for the next couple of weeks to in an effort to eat up some of the food in our freezer. I also listed 11 items on ebay, hoping at least a few of them sell.

If all goes to plan only 99 months until we're mortgage free :T

Hmmm finding these NSDs harder than I thought, popped into Mr T on the way home from work to collect some photos (ordered through prepaid online) and get milk for little ones and managed to spend £10  Seriously how hard can it be to go into a supermarket and just come out with what I went in for (shakes head at self!)
On the plus side OH has been really good with his NSDs and he is at 5 for July :T

Ebay isn't looking good no bids on my items which finish tomorrow and Sunday, not many watchers either :(

Now at 3 NSDs for July so not as good as I hoped but it's making me think about whether I need all these things I'm buying.
Ebay items made about £4 which is better than nothing, OH has listed a few things and the month is yet young!
Tomorrow is mortgage payment day so I can then look at the OP for July, thinking of doing a larger £500 one again this month and wont then do one for August. Next month I need to move some savings when the fixed term comes to an end so have started looking at options that have a higher interest rate than the mortgage.

£500 overpayment made :j waiting for it to show up on my online mortgage account, hopefully it will be there tomorrow.
We've had so much rain today our garden will soon resemble a bog, started digging my potatoes yesterday but they hardly have anything under them this year and it was quite hard to find them in the mud!

2 NSDs to add to the total for July. Also sold a few bits on Ebay over the weekend so it's all heading in the right direction.
Not been feeling too well, think I've got a bit of a virus and want to sleep all day which obviously is never going to happen! Did manage to sit down on the sofa having a cuddle with one of my little ones whilst the other played quietly this afternoon which just about kept me going until their bedtime. Roll on the weekend!
