We started over paying from the beginning of the mortgage which made a big difference. Had slowed down when discovered here due to starting a family and big drop in income, starting this diary and reading the others really helped and gave me lots of ideas to raise extra OP money. We were fortunate enough to receive a windfall which has allowed us to pay it off now.
We paid ours off, had a few years with awesome hols, built the savings up and then i got a bit twitchy, RM became a preferred site and then bought a new house... and here i am again... At least this time knew from get go how to clear, also never stop saving what we paid in morgage.
