    Mortgage-free Glee!
Just noticed it's FLW from today until Monday. Determined to get rid of a few larger items that are taking up space so plan to photo and list them tomorrow. Have quite a few items finishing on Sunday & Monday so hoping for lots of Bank Holiday just been paid bids!

Grocery budget is badly overspent this month :( Hoping to do much better in April.

Got paid yesterday and it's nice to see our positive net position increasing each month :)
  • Thanks TwinnyD, I was hoping we would have a FLW soon. Tilly x

    End of March update

    Mortgage overpayment £600

Groceries £350.50/£300 Whoops! Blaming nappies, vitamins for little ones and DH needing tea for work and home. Hoping this is just a blip as freezer now defrosted and needs refilling.

Ebay £33/£10 still waiting on payments for a few things so this may change. Pleased with this as all small items.

Reviewing £0/£20 Didn't quite make this but only a couple of pounds off next payout so will have it for April.

Surveys £20/£0 2 x £10 payouts but not had many through since, they seem to come in waves.

Music Magpie All done just waiting for £5.25 cheque plus a little bit of cashback. Books have all gone to a charity shop.

    April Targets

    Mortgage overpayment £263

    Groceries £300

Ebay £40 Managed to list 10 items during FLW so hoping they sell, couple of big bits of baby stuff which will clear space too :)

    Reviewing £20 Nearly there!

Hoping for a few more NSDs this month as March wasn't good. Need to keep my focus! :money:

Another £8.50 claimed from TCB to add to the April OP pot total £272 now and may round it further, all the TT talk getting to me :D

Having to pay to park at work is costing me more than parking as have to walk through a shopping centre to get to it and keep finding myself popping into shops :( It's a good job I'm part time! Aim next week not to buy anything I don't need.

Weekend has cost entry to soft play yesterday and few bits of grocery shopping. Went to the park today as weather still nice, little ones had a lovely time and was nice for them to be outside. Need DH to mow our back lawn so that they can play out there, he's working today so will have to wait for the next dry weekend.

Hope you're all having a good weekend :)

Monthly money shuffling done main MP and OP made so mortgage has reduced a bit more :)

Received Amazon vouchers from TCB and DY today, I just use these whenever I need anything from Amazon as I've already OP'd them. It like making the saving twice as I feel like I'm getting my Amazon stuff for free!

All Eb@y items paid for and posted/collected. Nearly cleared my 'to sell' box as what's left isn't selling and will go in next charity bag. Need to get DH to have another sort out of DVDs/Games as they have overflowed from their shelves again.

CTC payments have dropped by £30 a time from this month which I'd forgotten about. New childcare care costs start this week so going to be even further adrift from our monthly income. Can't wait to not have the monthly mortgage payment going out and be able to save each month rather than dipping into savings.

Surveys have gone quiet again so may be a while before another payout on those. Have still been reviewing though and have another 10 items listed on eb@y. Hoping to have met my £40 target for the month when these items have finished.

As we're still planning on paying off our mortgage in June I've made an extra OP this month of £550.

2 bids on eb@y items and have have spent some time of surveys and review writing. Spending has been low, just toddler groups. Don't need anything from shops so aiming to make it to work and home again with out going in any!

Nice quiet weekend here. Little people needed some spring/summer clothes so spent quite a bit on things for them. Still need a few more things but hopefully won't cost too much more.
CTC have increased due to little ones starting childcare, this will help towards the cost and is more than I was expecting which was nice.
Eb@y sales not as good as I hoped, think everyone was out enjoying the sunshine. Profits are just over £45 for April which I'm pleased with as target was only £40.
Managed to dig the veggie plot and potatoes have been planted along with some carrot and radish.

Was planning an afternoon at the playground but it has clouded over here and the wind has picked up :(
