    Mortgage-free Glee!
    End of January update

Mortgage Overpayment £500 paid as included interest from reg saver and rounded up. This has resulted in us being mortgage neutral with our savings :j Will have a little celebration of this with a meal out using Tesco reward vouchers :money:

    Ebay profit £46.15

    Reviewing £20 voucher

Grocery £25.93 under £360 target, not as good as I would have liked and freezer still needs emptying more before defrosting!

Loft sorted, now have lots of stuff in the spare room that needs to go ebay/music magpie/charity shop. Decluttering of the house and led to even more stuff being added to the spare room.

    February Targets

    Mortgage overpayment £550 (£200 regular OP, £30 TCB, £20 reviewing, £170 CT saving, £85 energy refund & £45 ebay)

    Groceries £300

    Ebay £10

Reviewing £20 Have slowed down a bit here so need to to pick it up a bit

    Surveys £0

Finish decluttering house apart from the kitchen and garage, they will need their own month!

    Sort out those DD's for H@lifax a/c

    Thanks Megela :)

Had a MSE day today, new easy access savings account opened to replace the one with have which only pays 0.25%. DH thinks we have too many accounts so need to have a review as have a couple of old ones that we no longer use but haven't got round to closing.
Boiler cover needed renewing so have changed provider making a £2.90 monthly saving and hopefully £70 cashback if it pays :j Set up the DD on my H@lifax account so that's one done!

Need to knock another couple of months of our mortgage before we pay it off to avoid having to pay an admin charge. Didn't realise there was one so glad it's only 2 months away.

Ebay sales gone well today, need to do some more listing tomorrow if I get a chance. Was planning to do it tonight but prefer taking photos in daylight, any excuse!

Have continued with my trying not to spend unless necessary into February. This is going well and will see if I can manage until the end of the month. Have one birthday to buy for but that is all so shouldn't be too hard.
Had a lovely evening out with DH last night and little ones slept perfectly for the family member baby sitting :) Only spent about £15 including parking so was a good value for money evening.
Have done a bit of relisting on ebay today and may get a few more things on tomorrow. Still need to set up the 2nd DD on H@lifax a/c have decided on the charity so will try and do that tomorrow too.
    OP day on Monday :D
Enjoy the rest of the weekend all :)

February OP of £550 made :) Just waiting for it to appear on my mortgage account but should show both accounts showing less than 10 years remaining, this will then mean no fees to pay when we pay it off. Starting to get excited about 'paying it off' day, need to think of a way to celebrate it

2nd DD set up on H@lifax account now so should be fine for the cut off date and stay as a reward account.

Only spent on toddler group today and not going out again as far too cold!

Have managed another week with minimal spends. Haven't gone out of the office on my working days and hasn't been anything in the office to contribute to this week. Toddler groups and presents for next birthday party only additional spends.

Quiet weekend planned, hoping to get a few of the 99p items listed on ebay. Determined to clear the spare room in the next couple of months so we can have guests to stay again!

Yay, I've found the bed in the spare room!

Have 2 bags ready for charity shop collection this week and 20 99p items listed on ebay. 2 bids already, feel a week of avidly watching my items coming on :D
Still have lots of books, cds and dvds to get rid of, will try job lots on ebay and if that doesn't work then music m@gpie and charity shops for the rest.
  • There's a couple if sites for selling books, apart from Am@zon but I can't remember. I think Elantan is looking for a book selling site. Maybe someone will pop by with some names.

I'm scratching my head now :o

Thanks Tilly and Elantan :) Link was very helpful, think I will probably end up taking them to a charity shop. The books I have are popular titles which will be difficult to sell anywhere apart from at a car boot and not in a position to do one of those.

Looks lovely out but very deceptive as horrible cold wind, will be staying in the warm this afternoon and nearly a NSD but bought some reduced meat in my corner shop. Had the same item on my grocery shopping list so £1 saving made :)
