    Mortgage-free Glee!
Well not being well last week forced me to rest in the end and I felt so much better by Friday. Had kept our diary free for Saturday to catch up round the house and out in the garden. Did a charity run yesterday which it was far too hot for but worth it for the money raised.
Seem to be on a run of spending days and even today which I thought would be one I ended up needing milk and having to buy a present I'd forgotten about.
Managed to list another 11 items on Ebay last night to make the most of free listing weekend, hoping that'll give our non job income a boost!

End of another month and think it's been a good one money wise, writing on here more often has helped to keep my focus.

    End of July update

Mortgage over payments £500 (target was £200) have made August's OP plus an extra £100.
Outstanding £79,620 :T Have been monitoring the reduction in daily interest since March, has dropped 29p a day in that time and it gives me another figure to monitor!

Ebay profit (after charges and including p&p profit) £42.42 (target was £10) OH came good here with a pond pump that was bought for his Mum's pond but never used. Still waiting on it being collected though, should be tomorrow.

    Reviewing £40 (target £20)

Grocery challenge £378 against £360 target. Not too much over this week and made good use of Mr T's summer exchange part 2.

Eat up what's in the freezer - this suffered a set back when Mr T included frozen food in the voucher exchange. Freezer full of 'free' food :D

NSD's lost track of these a bit but averaged a couple a week so target of 15 was a bit high. Not sure whether this helped me spend less or whether I just bought things on different days!

    August Targets

Mortgage Overpayment £80 (£40 from Ebay and £40 from Reviewing) and Groceries £300 gain

    Ebay £7 & Reviewing £20

OH to call TV/Internet provider and see if he can save us anything

Renew Driving Licences, can't believe these have run out already or that I have to pay to replace it. I'm having fond memories of my paper only licence!

Have a good think about ways to increase our income when little ones start play school/pre school next year.

Call those lovely people at T Credits to correct my income for next years payments as currently based on last year's income which included maternity pay.

Think that's enough for one month as most of my time is spent having fun with my little people :)

Hi WinnyD, just caught up with your diary, we seem to have similar mortgages/targets, so it will be good encouragement to see how you're getting on.:)

Hi Littleg, thanks for dropping by :)

I've managed to reduce my mobile phone bill as my contract has just come to end, £8 a month saving :T
Think I've convinced OH to call the TV/Phone/Internet people and see if they can improve the price or at least increase what we get for what we're paying as we seem to be getting far less than their marketing material advertises.
Still making good use of Mr Ts voucher exchange and ordered little ones some clothes tonight, can collect from store so no delivery to pay :)
Nothing else on the to do list done yet but the month is still young!

Well OH called TV people but no luck in reducing that unless we reduce our package. Not keen on doing that as we do watch what we have and hardly ever go out.

Mr T has introduced a new saver scheme for home deliveries so have signed up for that which will save £36 a year. Think it'll be a while until we're back to going to the store to shop again so good to be able to save on the delivery costs.

£80 OP made from ebay profits and reviewing money. I love the difference these extras make and would never have thought of it without this site :)

Really tired from busy weekend finished off with late night watching the closing ceremony. Going to try and grab quick nap whilst little ones are still sleeping.

Called the T credits people and our income is okay for next year so we will still get payments next year just reduced on this year. All helps whilst our income is so low.

Having a rubbish week for NSDs, managed Sunday but nothing since. Work tomorrow and going into the office always seems to cost me money :(

Had a nice little present from T credits which I assume must be from an underpayment last year :T

Had a nice refund from where we had overpaid on our gas, we had been repaying where our DD had been set to low and have now caught up. I called them to lower our monthly payments on both gas and electric and so should be £41 a month better off, until the next set of price hikes that is.
To offset the 2 lots of unexpected income we have a broken toilet which is going to require a plumber to fix. OH isn't allowed to touch water after a couple of disasters  Hoping it wont be too expensive or too long before it's fixed.
Free listing on Ebay over the bank holiday so will sort out some more things to list but don't think I'm going to reach August target as they wont finish until September.
Have a good bank holiday all who are reading (probably about 2 of you :rotfl: )

Time for another end of month update

    End of August update

    Mortgage Overpayment £80 paid :)

    Ebay £8.53 profit target was £7 & Reviewing £40 target was £20 :)

Grocery £66.90 saving on £300 target. This was due to taking advantage of Mr T's summer exchange, there are a lot of boxes of nappies under our bed!

OH to call TV/Internet provider and see if he can save us anything - nothing here :(

Renew Driving Licences - done :)

Have a good think about ways to increase our income when little ones start play school/pre school next year. Lots of discussion about this but lack of childcare in the holiday a problem and OH no opportunity to increase his hours anyway :( Will discuss options for me to increase my hours with my boss next year.

Call those lovely people at T Credits to correct my income for next years payments as currently based on last year's income which included maternity pay. This resulted in extra owed payment from last year and an increase in this years payments :)

Really happy that everything got done and that we had a good month against the targets set.

    September Targets

    Mortgage overpayment £250

    Groceries £300

    Ebay £10

    Reviewing £20

Had a bit of a expensive week as bought little ones lots of clothes, I don't shop at expensive places but have still spent about £150 on clothing essentials :( Well I think they're essentials, maybe I need to look on here for some tips on dressing little ones for less.

Been a successful week so far. Sold 6 of the 13 items I listed on Ebay and over my £10 target for the month already. Items all packaged and taken to the PO or collected. Picked up a few reduced items on my way out of the shop so was obviously a good time to visit :j
Have also reached another £20 from reviewing so another target met, I claim in vouchers but OP the equivalent money.

Only 1 more day at work and then on holiday, going away for our first family holiday so really looking forward to it. Going self catering so got Mr T delivering on Sunday, as we've signed up to their delivery saver it wont cost any extra. Also got a shop being delivered a few hours after we get home :) Lots to do before we go and a very long list of things to pack, I hope the car knows it needs to be a tardis!
