You just call telephone banking or the the branch to cancel when you want to. Bear in mind if you cancel before May 1st, you won't get the March bonus.

I may carry on doing it - if not quite so madly - as it's a handy way to save a little money without really noticing it going. A few pence here and there shouldn't make too much difference and before you know it, you'll have a decent little savings pot. The only thing to watch out for is that their rates may not be that competitive.

OMG I'd love to see this too.....my local shops don't have self service tills or I'd have a go too.

I've been doing lots of £1.01 deposits into my egg savings account and have been putting petrol in daily for £3.01. OH thinks I'm mad.

Did anyone start fresh or is this everyone who had Lloyds TSB accounts already and just change the type to this Saver account - thus not hitting credit etc etc.

To setup a new account I'll most likely miss Februarys £50 won't I? Possibly get next months?

I'm in the same boat. I would have to apply online too which don't think there's time to do so now for February is there? Don't know whether to try for March or wait and see if they do an April and May offer for new customers, but then we could just miss the lot then couldn't we?

  • I have been working on getting the full £100 out of lloyds for a few weeks, I have put money into a betting account using my debit card, in small chunks, ie £5.01, 2.01 etc....Now I have too much money in the betting account

If I now transfer all that money back to lloyds, will that mean i will lose my matched allowance????????

Go through the Make a payment menu and set up your card as a new payee. It took me ages to spot it when I was trying to make a one-off payment onto my card, separate from my direct debit, and it definitely works. :)
that makes a payment from the HSBC account to HSBC card as far as i can see, how do i make the HSBC card take the payment from my lloyds account?
    Yes Your Dukeiness :D
  • Hello,
I don't have an egg savings account although I have an egg money account which I always pay off in full. I've been sending £1.01 from my lloyds to egg money daily now for the past 3 days. I have the STC showing on my payments and transfers scree but still nothing going to the account. Does anyone know if it works with egg money?

    Thanks
