Since all they should be doing is moving money from your current account to your savings account, how is that "extra cash"?

I think you'll find they aren't matching it - they are merely moving money from your current account to your savings account.

With the promotion (that ended months ago) at the end of the month, they made an additional payment into your savings account - this they are no longer doing.

It never stopped....but they no longer match it....that only lasted a couple of months.
