We switched to Sainsbury's Basic a year ago from PG Tips - no complaints from family, just leave bag in for longer or event put two in as I like my tea strong with little milk and no sugar.0 -
i have just bought a box from http://www.victorytea.co.uk/ using a 25% off discount code i posted here cos i drink gallons of tea. they do a sample box for £1 if you want to try it before you commit to a huge amount too.
We tried the sample box and frankly we thought they were terrible !
High tannin cover in tpot and cups and leave a strange aftertaste on the mouth !

dont have a local sainburys,
iceland under 1mile, same as tesco's, tesco big store, 1.5miles, asda 1.3miles, sainburys 4miles, morrisons 5miles, dont go to morrisons unless theres a good offer like the robinsons drink for 63p a bottle they had last year. trying to keep my milage down due to price hikes in petrol.0 -
I drink decaf tea at home purely cause I drink so much tea. Best offer for decaf at the mo that i can see is Asda at 2x80 bags or £2.50. I have no problems drinking normal tea - it's just cause I drink so much that the caffiene at home is what i control!!!:j I feel I am diagonally parked in a parallel universe :j0

SFG x
I tried them because of endorsements on here but I found they left the tea a kind of off grey/brown and it put me off.0 -
I agree Aldi Diplomat Gold tea bags are pretty good. I usually drink PG when on offer, but for stand by get these Aldi bags. They are not weak, though not as strong as PG, but they make a refreshing, fresh tasting cuppa, really nice.
For years I've been drinking Yorkshire Gold (I always stock up when on offer) but recently I tried 'Aldi Diplomat Gold' and was really surprised at how nice it does taste - I've now switched.0 -
If you have any friends with Costco card...
My OH drinks loaaads of T and normal T bag for 1 T is a waste...
So we bought catering bag of PG Tips at Costco, they are smaller bags (1 cup bags) and it worked out something like £18 for 1200 T bags.. or was it 1610 bags?
Check ebay. I bet they sell them too.0 -
Or what about those?
Comes to just under 2p a bag? And still PG Tips?

Another fan of the Sainsburys Basic teabags here
I put 2 teabags in a cup to make it 'normal' strength, but 27p for 40 cups isn't bad. Also like the basics chocky digestives.
The coffee, however, is absolutely vile. Tesco and Morrisons cheap coffee is also really horrible - I guess I'm going to have to wait for a real bargain with some nice stuff and stock pile itFinal cigarette smoked 02/01/18
