I am an avid tea drinker!! All i have are PG Tips, but only buy then when on offer or with coupons. Im running low on stock, and just checked my supermarket and no-one has any on offer. they are so expensive now!!!
I was considering buying the Asda chosen by you to see if they are any good. an yone tried them.
also, does anyone know of any tea bags that have the same flavour of pg tips that are cheaper?
I drink about 8 cups a day.....Just had my 3rd mug....teabags running out about Wednesday going at this rate!!!
thanks in advance!!:)

I love PG Tips but they are sooo expensive and we are on an economy drive at the moment so really can't justify their high cost. I have not tried Asda's teabags - but I been getting the typhoo bags from poundland - they are 80 teabags for £1;) My husband and I normally get through a box and a half a week, taking some to work etc and they are OK, worth giving them a go they sell them in both 99p and in poundland.
My Mum will only drink PG reckons you can taste the difference - well all over the Christmas hols she was drinking typhoo at my house and did not even notice!
Hope this helpsFibro-Warrior0 -
I use Asdas own and find them great, Didn't drink PG before though drank Tetley.

I second the Home Bargains recommendation.
I went there yesterday and they had boxes of 100 Typhoo One Cup (round bags). RRP (on the box) is £2.19 but they were 99p!
Let's say there are considerably LESS boxes on the shelf now and I won't be needing to buy any more teabags until around 2015!!

Hi,
if you have The Original Factory Shop near you, they sometimes have 100 Typhoo for less than a pound.0 -
We are generally PG Tips drinkers too, and like you only buy when they are on special offer. Had this problem over last year, and discovered that Yorkshire tea was REALLY nice (tried it cos it was on a really good offer one week, and fell for it). Just before Christmas Tesco had huge double size boxes on offer so stocked up on those. Just looked on My supermarket, Asda currently selling 240 for £4.00.
No other offers on decent sized boxes of PG tips or Yorkshire tho' I'm afraidI try not to get too stressed out on the forum. I won't argue, i'll just leave a thread if you don't like what I say.0 -
sainsburys basics for me .
the only value brand worth drinking - and I drink lots of it !0 -

I 2nd that. We mix up Sainsburys basics tea with on offer branded tea for a bit of variety.
My oh is a snob when it comes to brands but he is quite happy to drink this and to top it off they are only 27p!!!Recently married and loving it x0 -

just registered and ordered a 1 pound sample to try. looks like they work out cheaper.
i cant get out very much, so poundland and other shops not an option. however thanks for the response! us tea drinkers have to stick together!
