Great value, Sainsburys Tea Bags only 27p for 80. Makes a nice cuppa.
I used to buy Typhoo Decafinated ages ago.0 -
I gave the Asda Smart Price ones a whirl a while back and I didn't like them at all so I'm back on the Typhoo. The 100 one-cup ones from the pound shop. The next time I'm in Sanisbugs I'll give theirs a shot. The idea of paying much less than a penny a bag is attractive but I'm not drinking rubbish. Tea's much too important for that.0

People compain about the price of quality tea-bags and then use 1 in a cup to make one cup of tea,what a waste of money,of couse you dont do you?..........1 decent tea bag will make 3/4 cups of tea if you use a 1 litre flask after brewing in a tea pot for 4 minutes,then pouring into a 1 litre flask......topping up to 1 litre with boiling water,the tea will improve in strength over the next 3/4 hours
:eek::eek:
What an horrible idea ! Scrooge must be spinning in his !A Bast**d I May Be ! I Was Born One !

I am a tea drinker and my preference is Typhoo. Sainsburys are doing a good deal now 240 bags for £2.64 I got 2 boxes. I usually can get them in Wilko 300 for £2. 49, last time around I got 6 boxes and they have lasted me 9 months but they have not had any for ages now in my local shops.You live..You learn.:)0

Another vote here for Sainsbury's Basics, at 27p for 80. A year or two back these came top (ie. ahead of well-known brands) in an Observer Food Monthly taste test.0

I have not turned back, and will not go back to PG Tips even if there is an extremely good offer on, often have compliments from visitors who are then astonished to learn which Tea Bags they are!
I'll second this. 28p for a lovely strong cuppa :coffee:It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -

Another vote for Sainsburys 27p bags. I tried them last summer since reading about them on here and I wouldnt change back. I even swapped them at work just to prove a point and nobody noticed."A savoury muffin?? As if life wasn't disappointing enough!" Miranda0

I must remember to get some of the Sainsbury's ones to try next time I'm in. I've been impressed with the Lidl gold ones but they're not that much cheaper than the Twinings I always stock up on when it's on offer.0
