LOL - being MSE we didn't get one! We would have but I forgot I have something out of the freezer that needed eating last night and wouldn't be ok today or would be unsure so we had that.
Had some good and bad news re finances - good news is bank's offering me 15k (opposed to zero! the other day) but bad news is it's at 20%!!!!! Therefore no chance!
Taking this as a positive I tried for 20 month 0% card but again as rejected as owe too much already
Will try again in few months.

Good Morning all J
Had a lovely weekend and few days off at the end of last week. We’ve had picnics; play time in the park, long walks, feeding the ducks and geese, indoor play, cuddle time, cooking time with kids and a lovely Sunday lunch at my parents’ house. It has flown past but we’ve done loads.
So now back to the grind and a full week of work is looming! I must say, due to the frivolity of the last few days I haven’t meal planned for this week and I don’t have half the things in I should have for packed lunches! I’ll pop home and put the ingredients in the bread maker for fresh bread at tea time and then use the rest for sarnies for lunches tomorrow. I’ll muddle through lol.
On the financial front we’ve had quite an expensive w/e however not extravagant in old terms. Spent for eg £20 instead of the planned £5. In a previous life it’d have been £200 instead of £20 so the mind shift is there and I acknowledge there will be times like this. There is a life to be had after all
This is the last week of the month and also the slowest! Payday on Friday so looking forward to that and coincides with my lunch date with Mum so I shall be treating her for once J I’ll be overpaying by as much as possible to the loan and will be sub 3k this month.
Today’s non standard daily job could be picked from about a million however today I resolve to list 5 items on ebay. I’m giving some to the church for the kiddies for free as I think that’s a very worthwhile cause. I’m also going to start a thread on the OS board as mentioned above – looking forward to it actually. Tomorrow’s NS daily job is to stitch a hole in DS’s jumper. I think it’s from the washing machine but cannot find anything that it would click on. Other items have the same trademarks!
Looking back over the month I have failed with the menu plan however the grocery budget isn’t as bad as I would expect with this in mind. It’s circa £20 over. All good compared to previous years, given the cost of food etc now as well. Looking at the petrol allowance I think I will come in on budget this month which is good and bad. Bas as I have had 4 days off however good as I have used the car for non essential trips so next months challenge is to keep same budget and come in on budget with a full month at work (no hols etc). Overpayment wise – I will tot this up on Friday when I make the final overpayment.
I need to buy the kids holiday clothes and mine for that matter so need to get a plan in action for the as don’t want to spend much.
On a dream note (I’m cooking on gas this morning aren’t I) we’ve been talking about farms (smallholdings not big dairy farms!) and have been having a nosy at some derelict houses in our fairly local area…..This sounds mental to some however I would love to live in a caravan for a year on our own land while we repaired and renovated the house. I think this will really make us understand what is important and be an adventure for the kids. It’s thinking things like this which is keeping me going.
Right I best do some thing productive!

Morning peeps
Well I've started a thread on the OS board and few people have joined so that's lovely to see
I got 2 eggs yesterday from chucks instead of the 1 a day we've had all winter (from 6 hens may I add) and so we were over the moon!
Tonight's NSJ is to report those seedlings I have grown. Won't take long once I get the pots out lol.
I have made an overpayment of £26.75 today. Will be interesting to see what interest is applied to that tomorrow.
Pay day Friday and have a delivery coming so I also need to do the menu plan for next month. I think I will stay in over lunch tmorrow at work and do that rather than going home. Saves petrol too.
Atmosphere at work sucks today - lots of people getting news bout their jobs and a few tempers are being tested. Looking forward to some fresh air at lunch time.
