  • Thanks Elly and good luck with getting everything transferred in time. As you say, it's good to be in control!

Well last night I got a few things to allow me to make some different teas, getting bored of the same old. I hope it will last me the month as it's pastes and things, curry paste etc to give things more flavour.

The slow cooker meal was lovely!!! Was very pleased. Only problem is I will need a bigger one as that one's just enough to feed us and as the kids get older they will only be eating more!

I'm still waiting to hear about the consolidation loan. 0% card didn't arrive yesterday so should be there today. We shall see.

My car sounds even worse today :(

    Loan 1 £1787
    Loan 2 £1683

  • Went out in the car at lunch time and it's running ok. I hope to god I get this loan so I can get a new one and consolidate other debts that are costing me more interest. The 0% will help loads but only allows part of the debt to be shifted.
Once I know what's going on there then I can start making plans!

  • I called re loan and they are processing it still so no definite yes or no. They want proof of ID so I'm sending that. Then when I got off the phone they called my back but it was a different department and they were checking I was legitimate and not making a false application.
Not sure if this is good, bad or indifferent. They said they should know tomorrow morning. I will call back then.

  • Great news!!! I've been fully approved for the loan and the funds were issued this morning at 9:39! They take up to 5 days to credit my account but it's coming!!!

So this means I can get a new car as planned, finally. I hope my current one lasts 5 days! I've seen the one I want and it's a case of negotiating with the dreaded car salesman now, who I hate.

Anyway - now I can plan ahead. This calls for a new spreadsheet! I am over the moon!!!

My debt free date is now ages away but that is ok - it's a concious decision and I am still paying this off and reducing my costs etc. I'll obviously get it paid off sooner if possible but I am not breaking my neck nor risking my family time to do it.

    Good times!!!

My 0% card also has come through - like busses - I couldn't get 0% for love nor money this time last month and now I got one and a limit higher than expected!!!!

I'm hoping to secure the new car this weekend too so I'm mega excited about that.

Looking forward to a relaxing night and a bit of a pamper session.

I will do my spreadsheet next week when the amounts have settled down.
