The good news is the interest on my Virgin card has dropped from the 90's to the 50's however the bad news is this will be eaten up by the interest that's about to be applied to my 0% card as that will expire soon and I am still being turned down for other 0% cards.

  • Reading back through some of my old posts, I feel lie a different person now but not all in a good way!

My DFD isn't going to be Nov 2013 I don't think. I am not setting one yet. It's proving to be an expensive year with unplanned things thrown in so I need to revisit it all.

Also, as I mentioned in a post at the end of last year, just as I got into t anew routine it all changed. My hours at work have changed and I am not yet used to them.

Currently still dieting as from 1st Jan and I have lost over half a stone which I am pleased with. I have 6lb to go be end Feb. This is making my meal planning easier as I'm pretty much sticking to 1 or 2 low fat evening meals that I like and if I am not hungry I am having cereal.

So at the moment I am working on spending as little as possible and waiting until pay day.

Hi DF, nice to see you back :)

It's a good idea to not concentrate too much on the date I think. I took my expected DFD out my signature months ago as I knew I wouldn't meet it and it was stressing me out :o

So long as you are doing your best it will happen, one day or another :D

    Lol thanks hun.
I'm happy trying to stay afloat atm. I have an expensive month with birthdays so concentrating on that and making them special.

Still finding my feet with the new routine so trying not to put too much pressure on myself there as well as it just doesn't work if I do.

    Getting there!!

hi ,i set the bar to high last year took on extra hours had mega plans for the money none transpired it kept us afloat lol so re jigging hours and the small amount extra a month will be put straight into a seperate account to pay of cc so taking in new bank details to my boss so its ready for april .my couch finishes in may and i will set up dd for that amount to my cc as well so that i start to accrue a snowball effect then will do the same on to next debt ect so everytime the payment gets bigger .good luck on your journey our debts are similar it just all takes time
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x
  • Hiya thanks for dropping in.
I'm glad it's Friday today. I have so much to do in the house, it's like a bomb site from having daughters friends over and I have washing like Everest etc etc. Once I get organised with that I will feel loads better. It's annoying how things like that can get me down.

Anyway - money wise, last of the big, budgetted for, payments came out last night so now it is very much a case of having very little until pay day. I'll work out exactly what I have as I think the chqs haven't cleared yet (out, not in!).

I'm continuing throwing all spare cash at debt as from the end of this month (pay day) as have nothing left that's spare this month!

  • Right the bad news is my 0% runs out this month. The slightly good news is I may be accepted for a Tesco card. They didn't say no which other have over last year but they do need to do further checks on me. Hopefully they will realise I'm wanting to BT (which the card is) rather than spend. They get back to you within 5 working days so I should know by Friday. I'm not sure how the contact you though.

Anyway - I'm going to do some figures on worst case scenario just in case.

  • Oh heck I am looking at a realistic DFD of Feb 2016 with my current plan. That's a worst case scenario and there are other options which may come into play. This is also allowing me to have savings every month which I never have as it's vital for me to have emergency funds now. So that is starting this pay day and it will be nice to have a cushion, all be it a small one, to build on. I've not had that before.
