Morning world
Not many posts from me lately. Life's going past so quickly !
I've been continuing to pay my debt off although as mentioned I am paying the min this month and next to keep me in the black which is a bitter sweet feeling.
We've continued to put off the house move which is a little pressure off me so I am pleased, again, bitter sweet but it needs to be right.
Christmas isn't long away and I can't wait!!!
My Virgin card's offering me a promotional rate again after 2 months of not offering me anything as I used the last rate to get the money into my bank then pay it straight back thus losing the original interest rate. I will wait until after xmas before doing anything like that again.
So I am plodding on and slowly getting there

Thanks for your post brizzled.
I'm still trying to become DF, lifes events seem to have taken over my time though and prevent me from posting as often. This is a good thing though as there are some lovely things happening for me at the mo.
I'm managing to do well with my budget which is great, I'm apx £70OD at the mo which is not ideal but ok as believe me it could be so much worse lol. This will be cleared over the next pay day or 2 anyway so all is well.
The great news is I am being offered rates from both my cards to transfer money for 0% etc so although I am not going to do it yet (going to build up more "free space") it's good to know the offers are coming in. Also my credit report is showing as 5 positive factors, instead of 4 which was last month, and that's due to not applying for cards recently. It must be longer than 3 or 6 months since I have, whatever their criteria is.
So bring on the New Year, I shall kick some money booty! Plans are afoot! 2013 will be a great year.
I am also really pleased as I have managed to set a few mini goals this week. Due to the changes in my life (no point going into it here) I am having to readjust a few things and working out a new routine. So the goal this week is to prepare 3 packed lunches for myself (T/W/T) and eat breakfast 4 mornings before leaving for work. Also I would like to have tea prepared ready just to heat up. I've got tonights ready, just needs heating through and we're done.
Things are ticking along nicely and I like it!

Good Morning.
Well last night we had HM ready made teaso I was pleased. Today I have a joint of meat in the slow cooker and chicken defrosting in the fridge. I'll make something to go with the joint of meat for tea and shall make something with the chicken for tomorrow, no idea what yet.
I have packed lunch but didn't manage breakfast, I wasn't hungry. My fault, I should have got up earlier but I am ok about this as managing to get other things done that I wanted to.
I've decided to use the 0% transfer as I've done a lot of calculations on the last one and it's working. When they give me 0% I take it in cash and send it back to them paying off the balance with 0% cash
My OD has increased as I bought some more xmas presents but I get that back as they are bought on behalf of people. I will keep myself in the black using the 0% money I have just transferred and then pay it back when I can, won't affect the interest or anything so I am not rushing and pleased with my decision.
I now know exactly how much of my balance I am being charged interest on so am in control!Debt - CCV £3792

Hey DF2012, we sound as though we are in a similar place at the mo, with a similar outlook, plodding along and feeling in control. Tis a good feeling
When in 2012 do you think you will become debt free? I am hoping to be DF by the beginning of 2014, I am going to go for it in the new year:DDebt £26k 18/10/140 -
Morning banwa
Thanks for dropping by. I think my DFD is 25th Nov 2013, not to be specific lol. We have an October holiday planned and I would love to be DF to go away for that, it's just not viable I don't think and even Nov is a push but I can NOT go into 2014 with debt so may end up being by New Year with you!
I am hoping to have all the xmas presents bought with this coming pay. I have most of them now. Then Dec can focus on getting a little bit of money in my account and closing down the debt again. Also there are always hidden expenses of xmas aren't they.
I'm plodding along, managed to get all teas done and healthy, bar one, for the week. Today I have a casserole in the slow cooker packed with veg. Tomorrow will be freezer food for the kids, but that's allowed on a Friday right?
This weekend I will make a couple of meals for during the week as it's worked out well. Slowly getting into the new routine (then it'll all change again no doubt!)Debt - CCV £3792

Hi DF2012, been off the boards myself recently. When i come back on the boards i get annoyed that i hav'nt done as wellpaying off debts as i had hoped. one debt paid off this year was hoping to pay off O/D by the end of december but no chance. Think i will start asking for my O/D limit to be reduced as i am able to put abit towards it each month. Other month put a tax refund cheque in of £260.00 but have now spent it instead of reducing limit by £260.00. Oh well onwards and upwards as the saying goes.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

My goodness it's Feb 2013! When did that happen.
Right - back in the game as this year has a lot to throw at me and me it!
I've sorted my accounts this morning and planned this month. It's a high spend month for things I should have saved for but onwards anyway.
Can just to say make ends meet and need to include a bit of clever tweaking.
I have more outgoings than when I was last on so I'm including them into my spreadsheets.
Hoping to be back in the black next month as I'm def not in the black this month!
No definite plans set yet other than to find my momentum again.
Hope everyone is well.Debt - CCV £3792
