Morning all!!!
Well yesterday ended as a good start to a bad morning! The person who is leaving and therefore creating the vacancy collared me (he is a senior manager and the position is being remade to a manager opposed to senior - he's been here since the dawn of man) as I had copied him into the email so I was open and honest to those I felt needed to know.
In short, it's not his decision but he has a big say in it, he has endorsed me and said he would even come back to train me after he's left, he thinks I would be very capable of doing the role. It's up to the on the other side of the world now (Global company) as they want their new people over there but we shall see. It was so nice to have his support! :j I have to sit back and wait now.
So we had fish and chips for tea to celebrate the niceness and DH paid £10 to it so it cost me £3 there abouts! Bonus (not on the waist line but hey ho).
In the mean time I have paid £1.11 to the loan overpayment fund as tight until payday but want to keep making payments. Things are ticking over nicely....although I didn't do my ebay things!!!!! U oh! Tonight! :rotfl:

My seed's should arrive today and the top soil finally arrived yesterday!
LOL - amber, did you learn anything? I think I'd prefer to watch the woof woof running round licking a yog pot!
brizzled - words of wisdom - I did exactly that so let's hope it was worth it!

Hi DF and Friends
ditto LL - any news on the job?
Horse is doing fine - thanks for asking. Rode him for first time in 6 weeks yesterday and he rather enjoyed it.
Car decided to make a funny noise and not start though this morningLuckily have borrowed OH 4x4 which is ridiculous on fuel and only used when absolutely needed! He is going to get a mechanic to look at today as doesnt know if starter motor / fan belt or what. Always something isnt there?
Hope you are ok0 -
Wow its all go. Its blummin freezing IMO.
Glad the dog is much better.
I too have no money! January is a pain in the bot.Trying to shift that debt!0 -
Hi guys
Really quick update - I will reply properly later.
My target for Jan was to pay £200 extra to loan - I've overpaid more than 260 so am very pleased. This is on top of the direct debit. See sig for new total. I've also paid all the mins on the others so will be keeping a copper jar for anything spare during the month.
On the job front I've gone from applying to promotion to being told there may be no job at the end of the year for the whole teamThe promotion was abroad but could be done from UK - tis abroad cos that's where they want it ALL to be, not just the managerial side.
It's even more important to thrash the debt now.
Target for overpayments every month is £250. Will start saving to Feb's overpayment now.
