  • Hi
We are just about to move house and have got our mortgage through HSBC, who I and now my husband bank with. If i reclaim charges and they decide to close my account, will this affect my mortgage and personal loan i have through them???
Worked out i've been charged £500 this year alone!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks
  • No the mortgage is a separate agreement and the loan

    Hi,
I have a question regarding claiming current account charges even though I have my mortgage with the same bank.

Can I still claim without the bank cancelling my mortgage?
  • Yes because the mortgage is a separate agreement

What about insurances, credit cards, loans we have everything with Llyods?
  • Help, I am wondering whether anyone has a situation similar to me...I have a current bank account with Alliance & Leicester and also have my mortgage with them, too...I am seriously thinking of getting unfair bank charges back, but wonder whether this would jeopardise my mortgage in any way with them? Any advice gratefully received...anyone had success with reclaiming from A&L?

    Many thanks in advance.

Your mortgage is a separate agreement from your current account.

A&L are one of the more difficult banks to deal with, you'll find a link to the A&L thread in the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature. Plenty of good support from users who are also claiming from A&L.
