A mortgage is completely separate from your current account (unlike an overdraft, which can be called in).
My current account is tied in with my mortgage it is the way that Virgin one account ( now called The One account ) works, you were supposed to offest your current account, so basically its like a glorified overdraft, in working out just the last 2 years my bank charges are up to over £2k
We are behind with our plan, but we are not over our facility with them, at the moment we are jsut paying the interest and no capital on itIf you like what I say please say thanks

I do use the online banking but it only gives you 30 days at a time, I have looked on there but can't seem to go back any further on itIf you like what I say please say thanks

click on view transactions and then click on filter, you then input your 'from' 'to' dates, go back as far as you require.0 -
Can anyone tell me if they ask you to close your account after reclaiming charges, is it just your current account/savings? Or can they make you move your mortgage/loans etc. All mine are with the HSBC I do not want to try and reclaim my charges if they can make me change my mortgage. Can anyone advise? Anyone had dealings with the HSBC how do they react?0

Personally I'd go ahead. I just claimed mine back £947 of £1300 and they havent asked me or indicated that they want me to move banks and I still have a £3500 loan with them. At they end of the day they want their money. How likely would they be to get it if they closed your accounts and demanded payment now. Not very, more likely they'd get whatever came to them from bankruptcy lol0

Your Mortgage Is A Seperate Agreement .. Assuming You Are Not In Arrears And Are Upto Date With Your Payments They Cannot Request You Pay It All Off Simply Because You Are Claiming Back The ILLEGAL Charges They Have Applied To Your Current account
