Well ordered £47 worth of things and I've had a refund of £36! Still says 'packing' Not happy to spend £4 delivery for £7 worth of stuff. Would never had of ordered from them if that was going to be the case.
  • Received most of mine (ordered on the 7th) this morning - just trainers missing and refunded. Also sent a £5 off next order of £20+ code (valid to end of Feb) but rather suspect I'll not be using it as it's hardly more than their postage charge.

    Xmas Saver!
I ordered on the 7th too, only ordered a swim ring and buoyancy vest but have heard nothing at all. Contacted them 3 times using their "contact me" form, emailed them yesterday but still absolutely no response.
V disappointed, have used them before with no problems but their lack of communication with customers is appauling. Paid with paypal, but have had no refunds (yet), but my status has been "packing" since the 10th!
Don't think they'll get any repeat customers after this fiasco with their sale :(
:j Is MSE saving me money, or making me spend more on all the bargains?!:j
  • I've not bothered trying to contact them as it sounds like they are snowed under. I placed a large order £100+ and I've just received a partial refund of about £15, so hopefully should be getting most of it. Not had any contact from the company yet, and my order still says "packing"

Right. I got my order today- the plant bits are rather bashed up so no good as pressies but I'll give them to my almost 4 year old.

There are a few bits missing- I wanted matching tshirts for my sons, but didn't end up with those. There is a note saying that money will be refunded to my bank account. I paid by paypal and nothing is showing there. I don't have online banking so can't check my account. If I paid by PP can they refund directly to my BA or does it have to be through PP only?

Raised a case through Paypal and have just received a full re fund. Such a shame as i was really looking forward to getting my items.
Still havent heard anything from them even through the Paypal case.

It would refund into your paypal account x
  • Just as I was about to raise a case with Paypal, I received an email off them saying my order has been shipped, so I will wait and see what I get bearing in mind I have received a partial refund.

I won't be ordering from them again, not will I order anything from 'The Hut' who also seem to oversell items and take payment before despatch. There are so many other companies out there who do it well to be bothered with ones that don't take customer service as seriously as they should. We've gained some comfort by being part of this forum and knowing that there are dozens in a similar position - waiting for orders etc.. No doubt there are customers out there who did not order via this site and who have absolutely no idea what's happening
  • I sent this email yesterday following the email I had advising me that I could not cancel my order:

Please could you advise what items will be delivered and when. This is the first time I have ordered from Muddy Puddles and I have been very disappointed with the lack of communication. If there are problems fulfilling the order, it would be reasonable to expect to be contacted to advise me of this before despatching a part order.

    This was their reply today:

    Hello,

At this stage I don’t want to mislead you but it is looking like the 100627 and 100636 which are some of the fun to grow pots are not available and the rest of the order ok but I cannot say for sure at this stage I am afraid.

It should all be sorted in the next 48 hours.

    Kind Regards
    Muddy Puddles

My order is still saying packing and no refund from paypal as yet for oos items
Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j
  • I received a partial order today but some things missing and have had a bit of a refund but not for everything that's missing, so I called them. I spoke to a chap who said that he was in another call centre covering the Muddy Puddles calls because they had had to leave their building unexpectedly last week (something about going into administration but I'm not sure if it was the building owners or muddypuddles) anyway this "other" company was covering calls but doesn't have access yet to the computer systems so couldn't actually do anything. He said they were desperately trying to get orders out and the deadline was by tomorrow so to give it until next week and see what turns up - by that point this other company will have access to the computer systems and so be able to help more on what's going on with the orders - CONFUSED :) I am but I said I'll give it another week and call back then!

    Hope this helps
