  • I have emailed Muddy Puddles a few times with no response. I have logged a claim with Paypal for non-delivery of goods.

It seems from reading these posts that they are picking orders back to front.
The people who have ordered after the weekend of the 7th seem to be receiving their orders whilst the people who ordered on the 7th don't.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm being very patient and not pestering them, but I'm a bit annoyed to find that people who have ordered much later than me have already received goods and I've had nothing. Surely, first come first serve is the fairest way to work.

I have just spoken to customer services and they have said they are definate that all orders between 6-12 Jan will be delivered 1st class by Fri.

I won't be holding my breath as it seems a bit hit and miss as to who gets what but i hope i get some bits as i really wanted them for my boys.

ASLK, I ordered on the Saturday morning (7th I think it was )and they've confirmed I'm getting absolutely nothing out of 45 items ordered! Great service eh? I hope you fare better than I did.

I just called them, and I was told that it's the orders from 6th to the 10th January that they have assured me had not been done and they were now processing with the aim that they would all be posted out on Friday. Indeed, later orders have been given preference from the sounds of it on the phone. That did not make me too happy particularly with their stock issues! I was given the 'warehouse move' explanation and was told everything was relocated to Cumbria. How the hell they can move all staff at zero notice is beyond me, the call centre guy was a Cumbrian fella so all new staff except management maybe??!!!! I asked if he knew why they hadn't sent out a blanket email to all customers informing them of the difficulties. Of course he had no idea.

'Customer Services' could not even access my order to look as they have no system. The call centre is definately a damage limitation and customer calming service right now!

He also mentioned that they have angry customers who ordered gear for the ski season and this had also made them 'very busy'. I bet! If I was off skiing I would think a few weeks would be enough time to order a few items online to take... I really feel for those customers right now, at the very least panicking about the items arriving in time. No show after a fortnight must be infuriating.

Handed all very, very wrongly indeed, they will have lost a massive customer base. I've used muddy puddles before and although circumstances have clearly been beyond their control, how they handled it hasn't been. I very much doubt I'll order from them again as things stand.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I ordered on 7th at 9.57am. I've just got a reply to my email asking what was going on with the blanket not sure what is in stock, we will refund blurb.

Very bad customer service. I may order from them again, as they do have good products and good sale prices, but I will be very wary when I do.
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

  • It sounds like MP have been let go from their parent company, who have gone into administration. They have had a complete relocation forced on them. They can't access their systems and have no way of knowing just how bad the situation is until each angry or upset customer emails them. I know it's not the customers fault, I just think we should cut them a little slack.
  • fed up now with waiting for reply have put dispute through paypal - glad i used it now!!!

Not true though. They can access their systems, they just haven't set up the customer services with them yet. The fact that orders have been sent out since they've moved, and that people are gettings answers when they push for them, answers that one. What's more likely is that they're snowed under with it all, new staff, new premises, new stock take, new system. And the lack of business thinking to inform their customers sufficiently of the situation. If they did, perhaps there would be less anger and more sympathy towards their situation from those who are waiting for orders..
