  • I ordered on 7th, received a dispatched email yesterday and the parcel arrived today. I got 7 of the 11 items I ordered - missing trainers and gardening kits. The box for the gardening kit I received was damaged as it was all just in a plastic bag. I've emailed them about this and about the delivery charge as the trainers are, what I really wanted, other items were missing, delivery was, late and the packaging was damaged. However, most of,what I received looks good

No idea what's going on with my order, they started packing it on the 10th, refunded a couple of pounds yesterday, so who knows, will hang on until Fri, if anything shows up great, if nothing or a few things not worth the P&P then I'll ring. Poor service to everyone who has ordered and it wouldn't have taken much to do an update to people, but like most deals you win some, you lose some, just one of those things!

  • Hi,
Thanks everyone for posting-thought I was going mad with the whole partly shipped, then packing rubbish...really disappointed to find so many of us in the same boat with Muddy Puddles-as lots of people have said I also wouldn't use them again and wouldn't recommend them. They really should have handled this fiasco better, if they have time to answer some customers calls/emails they should have had time to email everyone-I know I'd be sympathetic to real problems but the half truths and snippets of information which people have been given and the way orders are being fulfilled is shocking (I would have liked my bargains, but don't see why I should jump the queue over people who ordered before me on 7th). I'm afraid I'm beyond cutting them slack when as far as I can tell they provide no customer service.

I wanted some of the pirate bandanas, flags etc for my son's birthday party-has anyone received these yet? It's cutting it a bit fine for me and as I have already had to go and buy my son the welly boots I'd ordered as we couldn't wait I'm wondering if I should just cancel my order...has anyone who paid by card managed to ring and cancel AND seen the money back in their account yet?

Thanks for any help and thanks op for the original post-glad at least some people have done ok but sad that companies like Muddy Puddles can't see that in the long run they will be the ones that lose out-I can't see them surviving this if their customer base (new and old) is so unhappy.!

I don't believe the cheek of this company, out of a £22.69 order (7th) i have recieved a refund of £17.98 this morning (18th)- meaning i have paid 3.95 postage for 76p worth of goods. No update to my order status, no reply to my email. I will hold out to see what turns up but even if they have not charged the postage and i've got £4.71 worth of goods it is still poor comunication on their part and keeping my money for 10 days is not welcome.

  • I have just had this email reply to my request to cancel my order:

    Good Afternoon,

    Sorry for the delayed response.

We are currently experiencing some difficulties with our warehouse which has caused a delay in your order being despatched, it is now in the despatch system but I am afraid some of the items you have ordered are not available. You will be refunded of course for these.

We are unable to cancel the order at this stage but we do have a Freepost address for you to use for returns.

Please accept our sincere apologies for this situation and we are working to get it resolved as soon as possible.

    Kind Regards
    Muddy Puddles Customer Services

Shockingly bad customer service. Basically I have no idea what will turn up or indeed when.

  • Thanks prettypennies that answers my question-I guess we have to stay in for the long haul and hope that getting any refunds on items/postage isn't such a long winded process-won't hold out much hope though!

I ordered on the 7th and to date, have not received anything. Luckily for me I am not in urgent need but regardless, this is terrible service that we have (or haven't?) been getting.

I've been keeping an eye on this thread and only today I decided to chase them up. I didn't do it sooner as I thought there was no point.

Lo and behold I received an email saying my parcel has been shipped (with no reference to my complaint). I have had no notification of any refund via email, via the MP website or through Paypal so I am guessing I am one of the lucky ones? I didn't order any shoes/boots/gloves. I ordered a few pirate bits (one of each) some organic tshirts and one of the gardening sets.

I'll let you all know when it arrives.

I dread to think. Just got a shipping email yet the items on my order haven't changed given the rather large partial refund I've had. Never again I'm afraid.
