You can copy/paste the log into there and run the Analyser to see what is returned. I did a quick check and there don't appear to be any real issues. You don't really need MBAM running as a service though.

Ok, cheers. What about going back to the issue of the hardware/memory?

Sorry - I've not digested the full thread. What issue was that?

Is it just the fact that my computer is old/basic that is making it slow? Toshiba satellite pro l300-153, with, i think, just 1013mb memory.

    cheers

The router is a safecom. says on it p/n swamr-54108 but no details of passowrd or username.

Looked at a previous thread of mine and seems admin/admin did once work but maybe i changed it after that. Can i get it reset through safecom?

Yes, 1GB is a stretch for Vista Home Premium. Stick some more RAM in there.

    This will do £8.88

Other than that, the laptop specification is fine. You can always just run a Factory Restore after you have saved your important data.

Did you make your Recovery Discs when requested?

Cheers for the suggestion and link. I have some memory in an old dell laptop - is that likley to work in this one?

    Recovery disks?

Old Dell memory = probably no.

Recovery disks = may not need them. If you press F8 during boot up do you see a boot menu that offers a recovery option?
