after scan for issues do i leave all issues ticked then fix selected issues?

Cheers yet again to all who have helped.
And if, you know, your history...
  • yes, leave all ticked and fix all
    Friendly greeting!
  • you may want to go to the third tab (tools) and look at startup programs... there can be many things therein that lead to performance issues, or are just unnecessary... but dont disable blindly, post for help / use hijackthis
    Friendly greeting!

  • I would suggest disabling the following from your provided list:

    ehTray.exe C:\Windows\ehome\ehTray.exe
    Sidebar C:\Program Files\Windows Sidebar\sidebar.exe /autoRun
    swg "C:\Program Files\Google\GoogleToolbarNotifier\GoogleToolbarNo tifier.exe"

    Google Desktop Search "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Desktop Search\GoogleDesktop.exe" /startup
    HotKeysCmds C:\Windows\system32\hkcmd.exe
    IgfxTray C:\Windows\system32\igfxtray.exe
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe" /starttray
    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (reboot) "C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe" /runcleanupscript
    Persistence C:\Windows\system32\igfxpers.exe
    Picasa Media Detector C:\Program Files\Picasa2\PicasaMediaDetector.exe
    topi C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\Toshiba Online Product Information\topi.exe -startup
    Toshiba Registration C:\Program Files\Toshiba\Registration\ToshibaRegistration.exe
    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe /install /silent
    Exif Launcher 2.lnk C:\Program Files\FinePixViewer\QuickDCF2.exe
    TRDCReminder.lnk C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TRDCReminder\TRDCReminder.exe

unless of course you use the sidebar. and if you haven't restarted since installing malwarebytes anti-malware, then restart and check again - you don't need anything from MBAM auto-starting in my experience
    Friendly greeting!

basically, the only thing you should need to leave enabled in that startup list is the avast entry, for your antivirus. Everything else can be safely disabled...this will make a difference, and there'll probably be more in other areas (Like services.msc) that can be disabled as well :)
