Not necessarily. If you think you're getting the runaround, police can be called to assist. Afterall,m fare evasion is a criminal offence. You don't have to answer questions, correct. But simple questions to bottom out whether somebody is being retuthful about where they travelled from would be so routine that the offender would either stumble, or end up coughing to the actual station they boarded at. This is all ore-caution, so no reason for somebody to 'clam up', as no allegation of fare evasion is necessarily being made at this point.

I think he has a minimum fare of £20... if he notices you there. ;)

And he would notice you... he must be continually looking over his shoulder. :D

Of course it can be a Police matter. Deliberate fare evasion is a criminal offence and will be dealt with by the courts. Where's your mate tonight, anyway?
    Can I help?

police are to busy investigating/nicking the 'big man' or strutting around the station looking ard to bother with mundane fare evasion offences thats why they have revenue guys

    Whats a twink

You cannot be against anyone avoiding paying you a fare though after all you have been advocating it for the whole of this thread

If you are against fare evasion in cabs, are you? why are you not against fare evasion on the railway
  • be careful pal dont give to much info out on a public forum. you have a great system that saves you loads of money a few toc employees wud luv to bust you just to post it here

Yea ur right i realised after i posted that there was a little to much information.. did make me slightly worried for the next day so i paid the ticket :( however after my last experience with saying i travelled from sturry i have come to the best conclusion ever to save me ever having to speak with someone I am going to buy a monthly to Sturry for £47.70 which will get me through the barriers in the morning and back through in the evening. The station i get of at is £40.10 to travel to from the nearest other train station (i am not going to name this so don't get any idea TOC cronies) in all my years of travel i have never seen a ticket inspector on these trains as they are so busy. so now i can travel my whole journey for a third of the price without ever having to speak to any of Stigy's pals and no penalty fares. An unbeatable system which i wouldn't have been able to come up with if it wasn't for my pal (Geordie Taxi) and my enemies (TOC employees.) just to clarify i believe that as the trains are quite busy there are never guards for health and safety reasons..
