Hi all
Hope everyone is good..hope to catch up on the diaries soon..just a flyby now as up with relatives and seeing friends later today.
Have been away for ages havent I? not too much to report..we are just about squeaking into the last 2 days of the month within the budget..but this had been a good lesson for the last week.
OH has posted some items from the loft on EBay:T All on his own initiative too:T Lots of watchers but no bids as yet.
I have made a few PADs over the last few days but not as many as I'd like. Seems no point if it sends us into our OD.
Had a quick, not as detailed as I'd have liked, but OK chat with my OH about the overall financial situation..I am still not sure he gets it..and am not sure he really wants to. Work is getting stressy again and he is likely to be away a lot this year and I think thats playing on his mind..however he needs to realise that if he's away its even more important that the finances dont go off track and we are working on an agreed strategy.
Ho hum..more decisions too. If he is away it will pay havoc with some of our schemes eg. students and renting out the camper..and I may need to buy in extra help so I can work away.
Sorry..these are all rather disjointed thoughts at the moment..but you're all being subjected to a stream of consciousness about all things Brizzle!! There is no obvious way through at the moment but hopefully some stuff will become clearer in the next couple of weeks or so
Hope everyone is having a good weekend even though its wet and windy all over the UK I think...

Hi brizzle - nice to have you back
I like your stream of consciousness - it all makes sense and its good to get all these thoughts down on paper as it were and then start dealing with them a bit more
Mr brizzle has always sounded really on-board with the money strategy so hope you can both get to a place you're happy with in terms of working towards the same goals and within the same parameters before he goes away.

Hi Brizzle, welcome back. I think a few of us have been a bit awol recently - I certainly have.
If Mr B is ebaying of his own accord that suggests he DOES get it. But I often think men are rubbish at expressing things compared to us women - probably why the majority of diary writers on here are female. You've probably infiltrated his sub-conscious more than you realise, but no harm in keeping an eye on him!
I'll be back to catch up in greater details soon xLBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Thanks DDFW and Happy..lovely to have your support.
Long chat with OH about childcare and household support whilst he's away...and with our 'old' live in childminder..who is thinking hard about returning to Brizzle. May be a lifeline for us. Will need to think more about it but I think if we could get some support then even if we have to pay for it the stress will be massively minimised.
Time with family and friends good. Weather horrid..company fab!
Off to surf some diaries now and relax in front of a roaring fire!!! I so LURVE my woodburner!!

Hi Brizzle.
Thanks for popping in my diary. :T
I know what you mean about a fire. We have a real coal fire, although the worst part is cleaning it out. There is a pan and large section at the bottom to hold the ash. I have to empty it about one a week if it is used for 4 days during the week.
Sorry to hear about work being stressful. I got 2 texts from work today stating how the incoming calls were quite high and did anyone want to go in. I hate getting text messages from work on my day off.
Maybe I'm having a dull moment here but how do you handle PADs? In my mind I would make a small payment each day instead of making a large payment at the start or end of the month.
Don't worry about disjointed thoughts. I think I'm like that also. I think of something and type it and then some other thought floods in. Perhaps it's my age. :rotfl:June 16 Mortgage Amount £82,896.15
Official mortgage end date August 2027
Current rate 2.59% until August 20200 -
I've noticed the numbers are down on the diaries, perhaps it's the weather dragging us down?
Either way I'm glad you're back. If you can get help to reduce the stress, you should do it. There's not much point in being debt free six months earlier than planned but completely doolally!

Hi Bonnington and Piquant
Thanks Bonnington...I do love the fire and we burn anything we can on it..am always blagging wood off my dad for example!
PADs..I do them every day if I can. Even if it's just pence. Usually only a couple of pounds. I like the discipline of it and often make it the first thing I have on my list on the small DFW things thread when I post.
I am always fairly on the border of doolally Piq!! But do agree...I have to keep focussed on debt busting and becoming effectively a single parent for around 5 months in 12 will not help at all so help is probably the way to goMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
