Hi everyone, thanks for the good wishes..hope everyone had a good day today

    So whats happened today?....

    - made PADs, checked banking (into overdraft:()
    - OH sold some more CDs so another £6 into account I see and a bit more for the POAMAYC challenge:T
    - updated spends spreadsheets. We have overspent several 'pots' (those of you who are regular readers will know why this is the case but stuff like Dd2 needing shoes sure didnt help. She is always falling over at the moment and after looking at her boots which have shiny soles I can see why:o) I have warned OH not to use a card and I will put all the money we have for the rest of the month, as cash, in a jar, and when its gone its gone - this will be hard. we have £93 for everything for rest of month. Am not sure we will manage it but we have to try:eek:
    - will reduce Riverf@rd order as we have lots of fruit left and because of the previous item on this list!
-thought of some practical things for DD1's birthday..killing 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak!!
    - had cheapish treat - family trip to cinema using MOC coupon via a membership and then play as it got sunny in the big free park next door. Took snacks and drinks with us
    - checked fuel..3/4 tank left thank goodness..if lucky it will last me until get back from family at the weekend
    - lovely meal from stores - 2 chicken breasts between 4 of us, risotto with garlic, broccoli and greens..yum! then pudding was rhubarb crumble..rhubarb was from allotment and I added HM marmalade too..lush and frugal.
    - only 1 egg from the chooks today but trying to stop 2 of ours being broody which always mucks all of them up. Am planning hollandaise sauce tomorrow so will need eggs for that!

Think thats it folks, will try and catch up later

Hi DFW321..we saw the new Aardman animated film about Pirates..Adventures with Scientists. It was great, brilliant stop frame animation which we all loved. Obviously being in Bristol though those guys can do no wrong;)

Kitchen stuff...oops forgot the coffeemaker...it is an old one but has a vacuum flask which I love. its always in use..dont have instant coffee in the house anymore as a result..

The great thing about raclettes and fondues is that everyone else does their own cooking! I love it for that reason!:rotfl:

The Pirates film had some good reviews, glad you enjoyed it and cost effectively too!

I don't have a coffee maker either! I'm feeling deprived! I always wanted one of the gorgeous G*ggia ones, just because they looked fantastic, naught to do with the coffee. I think you can see where some of my debt came from, always buying things for looks :o

    Ok an update..

Do you remember how Margaret Thatcher was famous for always knowing the price of a pintof milk..you know the grocers daughter and all that..well to my horror the cheapest butter in my sm was £1.25!!!! And that was an offer. i am in shock. I didnt know, i would have said under a quid. Usually I just get it via the R&verford order so don't really notice. So the hollandaise sauce should be lush but will have cost me that and I needed some more eggs...darn those chooks!

Anyway so £6.78 down ( as also bought lettuce, spinach and cream for meals this week) and still a taxi to the physio to go. Roll on being able to drive again! So not as low a LSD as I hoped but still should be OK. OH has told me no unexpected spends this week so you never know we might just squeak through....

Have meals planned for next fortnight so that's a relief.

    Laters folks
