LBM in 2003.. What have I been doing since??!

I have just been having a quick catch up.
A couple of months ago I had a big clear out in my kitchen and got rid of my fondu, juicer, fryer and food processor.
Instead I bought an actifry (on ebay) which takes up loads of space but the boys use it a lot and was given a Kenwood chef on Freegle. I had to buy some attachments eg grater but worth it.
Yesterday I was pondering on whether to get rid of my breadmaker which I haven't used since I got the Kenwood.
The only problem now is that my stick blender gave up and I do miss it but determined not to spend on any more kitchen equipment. I have a brand new one in my cottage next door so can use it when we have no one staying. Not very often though as it is fully booked for 8 weeks from beginning of May. Don't suppose I can knock on the door and ask to borrow itbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

OMG Ive missed so much over on your diary Mrs B. Feel like my right arm has been chopped off not knowing whats going on with everyone !
I love my fondue although its hardly used. We dont have a raclette, but have eaten at friends using theirs plenty of times but Mr Pinot says he always get served silly small portions and it doesnt fill him up ! Cant see its much dfferent to how much you would eat with a fondue personally !
Ooh and I love my Nigellas How to Cook as well , its the most battered and well used Cookbook I own. I curled up in bed with mine when I first got it and read it like a novel. Its the only Cookery Book I have every actually read, usually I just drool over the pictures !
Pooh great to hear the cottage has 8 weeks of bookings, I have neglected your diary as well. Sorry !If I was your Guest I wouldnt mind you knocking on the door to borrow the Kitchen Utensils !

How have I missed not having a raclette? I feel incomplete...
I use my stick blender lots, I mourn the loss of yours with you poohbearI'd lend you mine too. Actually, mine's a real cheapie about £6.00 from Mr T value range. It does the job!
I use my breadmaker all the time so it stays out on the side all the time, but the toaster's in the cupboard as I eat too much toast if it's out

I have just been re reading your diary pinot as I missed a bit last week. Now I am waiting for a MrS delivery and am wondering what goodies I might receive as I left 'allow substitutions' on everything. With Mr T, I once received a joint of sirloin I hadn't ordered. When I phoned them they asked me to dispose of it . We did, in our stomachs
. Later turned out it was an ex pupil doing the picking.

Hey guys..sorry I have been neglecting you..been away for work and although there was free wireless at the hotel by the time I got to bed (we were working, it wasn't just drinking in the bar!) it was around 1am (and had been up since 5am) so CBA to surf the diaries:o
Life here is good. We have made the momentous decision to have fish and chips tonight!! the girls are delighted!! One DD has a friend sleeping over and both are away on Sat eve!!! I love the way the small things can be made into treats.. I am at home today and will be meeting a friend for lunch..so spends. But I haven't seen her in ages and she is my 'wing girl' in the hectic world of pressured alpha male jobs, young family, travel etc..so I NEED:rotfl: to catch up with a glass of PG!
OK..less good news. OH has paid the vehicle tax, laptop parts (£160..being shipped from HK no less!) and for a new snowboard from the current account..yes indeed dear readers that is what he meant when he said he had a "productive day of admin" (that is a direct quote from his text!) on Wednesday (ie. couldnt go to the allotment as it rained all day:()..so the current account is shot. And there was me trying not to use the overdraft. I do appreciate that the tax and laptop stuff needed to be done BUT........... (and I am not sure I ever sanctioned the board....)
I am going to have a word;) and ask him to get a 0% card for such things or better still ask me how we want to pay for large items...after all I am the FD of this [STRIKE]business[/STRIKE]family..:rotfl:
Weather here not great. Raining and cold. 2 chickens broody. have lifted them off the nest again so if they want to nest they can do it outside in the rain! ha..that'll teach em...:rotfl:
Plans for today:
- check banking - DONE - that's how I know the CA is shot
- washing - dry on racks
- tidying:(
- meal planning
- update spends spreadsheets (especially with OH's spends!)
- skype family this eve
- physio exercises (ESSENTIAL!)
Laters lovely people

Hello all
Just a quick update:
- used Times + membership to get 4 cinema tickets for £17 so pleased about that. Treat for kids this afternoon
- wonderful friends had both DDs overnight...me and OH had a lovely time ( even if some of it was spent in the allotment in the rain!!) and had a lovely chat. Bonding again!
- saw my parents yesterday. Nice to see them
- chickens still broody, as they will be for ages so egg production has plummeted. Cheesed off about that but regularly pulling them off the nest to try and limit the hormonal impact!
Need to get up now!! Slept in!! But must have needed it. Must say have been feeling like walking through treacle for last few weeks

Hey Brizzle, just been having a catch up. Lovely that you had some bonding time with Mr B (even if he is Mr Spendypants at the moment!). Mr Happy and I did the same on Friday night, although we went out for a meal and it cost far too much.
Hope the chicken broodiness wears off soon, it's a pain. Our last remaining, elderly, chicken is looking very off-colour at the moment. She's really lethargic and her comb has fallen sideways so she's probably on her way out......... I don't know how old she is, but she must be getting on.
