'A good soul and a good moral compass,' Such a lovely thing to say about your daughter. Fresh eggs, from your own hens, a flask of coffee, a newspaper, some exercise...The joy of small things indeed. I'm still reading your diary. It's a funny experience reading the old posts and new at the same time.
Have a lovely eveningIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

It's forecast for 97F (36C) here tomorrow. It's going to be a hot summer!
I made a pizza crust with mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, cream cheese, egg and almond flour tonight and it, with the toppings, was really good. I'm on a low carb plan but boy howdy do I miss pizza! Now I can have it because two smallish slices have 4g carbs. Hurray for whoever thought that crust up!:T
My mother never let me near the stove. When I got married, I didn't know the first thing about meal planning or cooking. Those are life skills for crying out loud!
Miss 'sometimes a pickle':) is way ahead!:TOverprepare, then go with the flow.

Thanks guys for popping by and posting. Shattered today! Could hardly get out of bed! You sound chirpy though which is great to see.
Another NSD yesterday! Thank goodness. Was looking a bit carp otherwise. Will update sig. DD2 didn't get to do her plan but did do a fine pork stir fry with left overs and egg fried rice with her dad helping which was luscious. Think we will have the eggs and bacon this eve instead.
DD2 thinking exams are going OK - hard to tell but pleased she's coping. All you can ask for really.

Stir fry at twelve...I'm in love with this child.
Im glad DD2 is feeling OK about the exams. That means she's probably answering most of the questions and not feeling unprepared.
My youngest DD (32yrs) started a new job. She went to work for Milton Hershey School in Pennsylvania. (Think Hershey bars...or do you have that chocolate candy there?)
It's a nonprofit private (public I think to you) school for underprivileged children, enrollment 2600 students. The students live on campus and it's an amazing campus. They have a $7 billion dollar endowment. She is loving her job! Most come from parents unable to care for them (usually drugs) or from foster care situations. Some have been abused. The little ones are six to a home and the older average 12 in their homes. She had lunch at a home with six little 7 yr old boys yesterday and said they were all sitting looking at her, after they were served. She asked if they were waiting on her and was told yes! The guest always takes the first bite. So cute!!
Hoping you rest up and feel better tomorrow!Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Thanks Mila. I hope that's right. She is answering them all and seems to think it's going OK. Confidence is an issue in Maths and Physics. Today was Physics and tomorrow is the first Maths paper so fingers crossed.
So love your story about your DD1. Yes we call public private...and we don't have Hershey's but we also have (Quaker) chocolate origin charitable funds like Rowntrees. I am passionate about quality state education so always so very pleased to see it done well and kids thriving...signed a petition this week about emergency lessons for all those kids displaced by war, disaster etc...my kids (and I) had so many chances in comparison.
It would have been an NSD today but notice that OH has put some organic meat from our lovely local farm in the freezer so doesn't count. But looks luscious and there are worse things by far to be spending our cash on. YNAB up to date and although next month will not be pretty there are many far worse off than us. Have watered veggie plants and chooks have given us 2 eggs so plenty in the fridge.
Hugs to all those that need them xxMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hello there Brizzle!! Just strolling by to say hello and how amazing your DD sounds! Her cooking abilities are fantastic! And Mila, your daughter is a fantastic young lady working at that school. She could have chosen a far easier option and I really admire her. (and as an aside could you PM me the full recipe for the pizza dough or a link to it??)
I wish DD2 continued success in coping with her exams - it can all get a bit fraught but they do get there in the end. xWith family, friends and pets (or any combination of them) life will be fine!
