Nice day today, small spends on food and household but apart from that, nada. Decluttered 20 books and other items to the CS so have met the target for the month. Just hope we can shift some sales too now.
Bit of a result. Intermittent problem with the DW. Phoned Mi3le and its within the 2 year purchase period so a free visit. As it should be, but fluke was that we are just days inside the guarantee period... Phew.
Lovely chat with friend this morning, and looking forward to the weekend.
Have a good eve folksMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Debs.. Let's do it (as a I am just back from a lovely meal out with OH and friends!) your post is highly timely. Having said that tho we stuck to one glass each, 3 puddings and 3 starters between 4- makes a difference to the bill that's for sure and we didn't go short!!
Lou - thank for dropping by. V relieved as call out alone would be £117!! ( TBH with that would just go to local guy but even so). Have a great weekend and hope the sun shines for you

Hi there
One expression of interest but as he wants 7 days we have politely declined for now. Will hold him in reserve if a M-F person not interested.
DD2 reluctantly making biscuits as a treat for us all..but oh well, instagram can wait
Planted some salad seeds, all over 4 years old so hope something germinates as I love 'pick and grow again' salad being to hand. DD1 enjoying mint tea made from mint from our garden. She's working hard, bless her, which is great to see. Think we will have a family treat tomorrow of cinema..using a 2for1 offer to say well done and keep going.
Weather is well and truly pants here. Thinking of putting heating on..which I won't, but woodburner may go on later or I may even have a sleep. YNAB up to date, looking tricky but doable if we wind our necks in (message here that have to keep up the pressure, its all too easy to slip even after a LBM which stays on ), TT done and PC done as well. Meal planning done for the upcoming week, mixture of using up whats in cupboards and freezer plus a few new bits which will mean I can use the 10% MOV from the Co*p. Washing on racks, fridge cleaned. Soup made from £1 worth of elderly, marked down orange peppers and carrots (from our everso useful greengrocers who also gave me some bananas for free
) which should do a meal or two or a packed lunch for next week.

We had no response at all to our advert for a renter so not sure now. It's a mobile home and we do have to pay the space payment but we can make it financially if it is not rented. Hopefully the oil and gas production will pick up if oil prices stay steady. 400 lost there mining jobs here since this administration has let Russia flood our markets with potash. (Fertilizer)
We go get our Bountiful Basket today. I order once every three weeks and go pick up trucked in local fruit and veg at a local doctor's office parking lot. Very inexpensive and very fresh.
Lunch with friends at the new Japanese food restaurant. This is very exciting because the majority of restaurants here serve Mexican food. I love it but variety is nice.
Enjoy your family time!! They are gone so soon.Overprepare, then go with the flow.

Thanks Mila. Don't think you have a diary? If you do, pls let me know as would like to subscribe.
Yep anyone in mining or fossil fuel production is having it tough right now. NE of Scotland is taking quite a hit too. Hard to say really, maybe drop the price then as you say? I just hate the idea of an asset not making a return, contributing at least a little to the national debt aka mortgage...so am getting pretty determined to get a lodger in somehow, but appreciate we'd all feel better if it was only M-F, no matter how nice they are. If no response in a week may drop the price, lots of places out there at the moment, but have to say most are in less nice parts of town
Settling down to watch a movie and have some lovely grub. Wood burner is on. The weather is pretty foul here. I could do with some New Mexico sunshineMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

No, no diary. I just gad about on other people's.
I'm thinking I'll wait a week and drop the price too. I am quite pleased to learn we can live without that income. Now, when we do rent the property, I will split that money between savings and extra car payments. (No mortgage for some time now)Overprepare, then go with the flow.

You left a lovely comment on my diary so I came over to read yours. I am still in 2012. One of the things I really like is your acknowledgement of your privileged position financially. I also like that you see giving as important and you budget for it. I am at the bit where you start taking in foreign students and I'm hoping that will work out. It is something I see myself doing in future. Reading about your food growing and *baying inspires me and if I can work up the courage, are the logical next steps for me. Hope your weekend is going well. Oh, and subscribing! If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them
