Our clocks have just gone back an hour. It was very odd to start typing a post at 3.00 a.m. for it then to be 2.02 a.m. when I posted. :rotfl: :rotfl: As you can probably tell, I'm having a little trouble getting to sleep tonight
so what better way to spend my time than catching up on here.

Thanks guys (and hope you get some sleep soon Mrs Fluffy)
Hi poohbear :wave:The blurb says that as its over £2k they wont let me add it into a future year's tax code. The reason its so late is they only asked me to complete a return for the previous tax year a couple of months ago. I think its worth asking for instalments as its not my fault and I have a lot less income this current tax year.
At least I know I can pay in one lump if I really have to...
Have had a good day today. Parents came over and had a lunch from stores. We didnt go to Johnnie L as planned (Mum was going to buy me a birthday pressie) as my dad didnt want to go:rotfl:a real surprise that;) so we worked in my garden and I haven't spent a thing! Yay!! A NSD for me. A friend has asked me over for dinner too so that'll be fun. Just have to take a bottle which of course I already have:D
Have to ask..do people count a NSD as being a day when the household doesn't spend anything or just themselves? I suspect it varies, but was going to ask what the majority did as I would like more NSDs:T but at the moment under Brizzle rules we don't count it unless both OH and myself dont spend any money at all...MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

I'm like you Brizzle, I only count them if both myself and OH don't spend, as we're in this together.
I hope you have a good night at your friend's.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

A spend for me is one that isn't an automated regular payment such as utilities, mortgage, window cleaner etc. It is something that I buy on a debit or credit card, or used cash for. So, milk as a one off buy, an Amazon purchase, car parking or a stamp for example. I also include groceries and petrol even though they're essentials as I find I can put off buying for a day if it's going to mess up my NSD! Sad but true.
You can only include the household if they're doing this with you, otherwise you'll be lucky to get one NSD a year and that'll probably be a bank holiday when most places are closed for shopping purposes!

This is SO not part of the plan..as all you lovely peeps know the plan is debt busting!!. I really hope they will accept instalments. If they refuse, at least you can get the money together. But what a kick in the teeth after all your hard work x

So I decided not to count NSDs but instead to count NWDs (No Waste Days). So for example I class budgeted spending as fine, picking up a genuine bargain which I need/will use is fine, but I can't call a NWD if I have wasted anything. By 'wasted' I mean things like buying a chocolate bar, buying lunch at work, buying a coffee out etc etc. I daresay everyone has their different system, the main thing is that we're thinking about what we spend!LBM Dec 2011. wow yay for bonus! that is super!
I hate the HMRC. Every year I have been here I have owed at least 4K. I set up a payment plan and it's a direct debit and they still send nasty grams.
It makes me wa to tell all the people that say immigrants suck the system dry that I paid £31,000 in tax and £17,000 in NI last YEAR and my pass port is stamped with no recourse to public funds.

Thanks guys..I am calmer now but will give the instalment route a real push.
I like the idea of no waste days, that's a nice one Happy! But I think on balance it'll help me and the Brizzle folk if I stick to a NSD being any day when OH and I don't spend any money or anything even if it's budgeted for..so the Sainsbo order today will mean that today is not a NSD. It's hard but I would like to see moths coming out of my purse when I use it...:rotfl: well I can but dream:rotfl:
Today will be a quiet day. I will:
- post on small things thread
- make PADs and check banking
- do as many surveys as I can
- do some more crotchet tutorials!
- read the paper online:D
- make a stew in the SC so when coming back from work can just heat up in MW
- finish clearing rest of laundry basket
- charge phones etc when panels are going...looks like it will be sunny and cloud free today
- no spend anything apart from Sainsbos...
Have a good day folks..hope the SO went well Mrs PG!!
