LBM in 2003.. What have I been doing since??!

So far so good..
- early return from work, well before 6, but could be a different story for the rest of the week
- lush meal prepared by DD1...and I got time to set up the SC with yellow stickered sausage and lentil stew which will be dinner tomorrow
- did a quick grocery shop for basics eg. washing powder and some salad (they are trying to take on T8sco and Li9l I think with packs for 49p)..grabbed some reduced items (including the sausages which were on the list) as it was past 6pm..kids now also have reasonably healthy cereal for snacks (DD2 was snacking on biscuits between activities ) Now have to just make sure they eat it!! Couldn't use a MOV and wasn't about to spend more 'just because'but then got a new one so not wasted and will have got points by using the store's CC (which I repay in full every month)
- wellies got via Bay of E. Much cheaper than new. Will now sell the pair DD2 has grown out of
- LSD and no extras. Liking this discipline..it appeals to the Puritan in me I obviously didn't know I had :rotfl:
Just had a fight with DD2 re homework (she's knackered and finds it very hard) but done now and I can have a coffee to celebrate

I hear you! Commonly recurring theme in this household. Boy finds it all a bit hard. No idea where his head is at sometimes. We struggle on but him being tired really doesn't help!MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -

Well in bed!!! But cruising on here (obviously!) and just answered some work emails..not best practice really!!
Today has been a good day as some hurdles at work are being overcome. I thought it'd be horrendous but I live to fight another daytired tho.
Local animal charity delighted by offer of linen as 'people' charities had no need...will be dropped off on Friday.
School trip to pay for, and OH bought bread but otherwise no spends. Grocery bill (including £20 spend for friends as a contribution towards a meal), a club membership (means we get reduced charges on veg boxes for the year), organic milk, fruit and veg boxes, washing powder, cereals etc ) standing at £240 so far this month which is a million times better than it usually is. Whoop!!
Good lentil and sausage stew from SC, taking in LOs for lunch tomorrow
Hope everyone OK

We struggle on...now that describes it exactly!!
We are plugging away at extra focussed 'lesson' time with them both. Am hoping once the routine is in place they will both resist it less. Actually, on reflection, that's not fair on DD1, she really appreciates our help but then is Y11.. It's the younger one that seems to think she will get places on charm alone (although to be fair it helps! :rotfl:)MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Well done - a good nights sleep is such a tonic.
Bit worried re NOA.. she hasn't posted on her diary for ages. Have you 'seen' her about?
Good day today spend wise - bought a coffee for a colleague and myself (£2.24) and some fuel. Deposit for school trip tho but not unexpected.
Freezer food planned for tomorrow- oxtail stew and gnocchi. Also going out with OH - tickets paid for already as was part of a Xmas present.
Got DD1's exam TT today.. Crikey now seems very very real!
Over the hump of the week now.. All downhill now folks:)MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal
