Morning Brizz. An exam timetable for DD1 - that is scary sounding. Boy MM is yr 8 at the moment so I have a while to go before it gets real.
Have lovely day. xMFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
Good day thanks MM but shattered. Concert this eve tho so stirring myself now. In good financial news OH has finished his contract on his phone so gone to SIM only. £9 pm rather than £29. All good.
eBay sales costs deducted from monthly totals but still over £100 so pleased with that. Have also found the decluttering good so will definitely set a new target for next month
Have a good evening folksMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hi all
Back on the business development hunt as one of my contracts may be stopped imminently... first instinct is to panic (it throws out all my best laid YNAB plans!) but second is to deal with it
So..what have I done?
- spoken to 2 ex-colleagues about possible opportunities - need to prioritise the follow up
- determined to enjoy some 'spare' time I didn't think I would have/unexpected does not mean I should waste it
- thought about a way of maximising additional funds..lodger is definitely the easiest..but like not having one!
- try and be even tempered about it..after all this is what could have happened a few weeks ago and I am not sure even now if it is temporary
And..
- talking to OH about what our mortgage free plans could be..tentative but still a focus
-have decluttered 6 pairs of shoes (not all mine!) and OH is listing 2 items on Bay of E as I type
- dinner is from the freezer..herringso healthy and cheap.
OH had to buy a battery but apart from that and giving DD2 £5 for snacks for her and mates its nada..so a LSD
Feel like a glass of wine..but will remain strong and weekend away next weekend to look forward to
Hope everyone is well

Worrying for you Brizzle, but it sounds like you're on top of it before it even happens. Go you! And well done for not opening a bottle in the face of all that potential adversity - I cracked one just because I got stuck in traffic!
Quick edit to state the hopefully obvious, which is that I didn't open the bottle while stuck in traffic - I waited until I was safely home!!LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!
Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,3320 -
Ha!! :rotfl: no need for edit as we know you are a law abiding upstanding citizen!
It is worrying but one has to roll with it.
Havent popped by yours recently - apologies - how are you doing?
Just watched a movie with friend and OH..Everest. Pretty gruelling but certainly made me feel like one needs perspective...a) thank god my life isn't full of those kind of decisions..and b) it put me off mountaineering for life!!
Sold an item on Bay of E. Aiming for £100 income again for Feb.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

So.. Today looks as follows:
- in hairdressers so will be a spendy few hours but oh so necessary
- cleared the allotment - giving it up but rescued tonnes of strawberry plants, some soft onions (may end able to use them) and some plants eg a rose which is now in the back garden. End of an era but need to focus on other more productive things and if we use the back garden well we can still eat stuff we grow which is always nice
- chickens continue to lay well
- did a PC survey so £3 to me
- OH made HM tomato bread in BM - lush
- beef curry now in SC - that'll be OH again
- meal planned next week including using DD2's food tech lesson to make our dinner next week - piri piri burgers. Yum. Wasnt like that in my day..always seemed to be pastry!
- pottered round garden, 2 loads of washing going through and read paper. Not a bad weekend so far!
