    Thanks guys!!

So a long day's drive home but the traffic was much much kinder to us. Then seemed to go into domestic mode  and started scrubbing fridges on my return and made HM fish pate (some now in freezer for lunches next week) (it's a Mary Berry one I first used about 20 years ago - dead simple and I managed to use up some v elderly tins from AF as a result!! :D) and HM pizzas using up posh LO's. Colston Bassett pizza - lush!! 3 loads of washing done and draped around the house. Have to say really don't miss the dryer. I have laundry racks and banisters!;) :p

Also managed to survive w/o a glass of wine. Another result. Can see how it becomes a habit tho. Would have been so easy to have a drink this eve - long trip home etc etc. This month will be good for my health and my budget.

Much tho I love the van - looking forward to my own bed this eve. And apart from fuel a NSD.

    Afternoon folks!

Well after the most uncharacteristic cleaning frenzy yesterday (must be the lack of alcohol :p ) today has also been quite productive.

Me and the girls have decluttered 25 items to the CS. (and..drum roll please.. instead of leaving in the hallway, we actually dropped them off too :)) Thanks to OH, we have also listed 6 items on Bay of E. Hopefully that will get us nearer to our aspirational total of £250 additional income from sales etc. Seems far off at the moment but nothing ventured nothing gained!

I have also checked out MM for some DVDs and electronics but tbh its almost like giving them away..so will check with OH to see if there is another way we could sell first. I also have some books set aside for a our local charity bookshop and some magazines to pass onto a friend which always seems more environmentally friendly than just recycling. I will note these against my signature when they actually leave the house!

Xmas decs are down :( and needles hoovered up :) Woodburner is raging with the wood OH sawed up when the playhouse was dismantled and he is cooking up a storm in the kitchen with some very frugal lentil dahl.

It has been a spend day however..school shoes for DD2 and some veggies for the dahl and tomorrow's Sunday lunch. But all from the local greengrocer so cheap as chips (£6 for huge bag) and he also threw in the coriander for free as it was looking a bit tired. Nice guy. You certainly don't get that at T@scos ;)

Going to see what everyone wants to do now..been a bit of a 'chores' day so far so feel sure someone will start complaining soon  - me..well I have just loved getting into a MSE mindset again :)

    So today:

    - fab roast dinner cooked..now need to see what I can do with LO lamb shoulder. Maybe a shepherds pie? I have meal planned but can swop a meal out am sure. Anyone got any suggestions or shall I just freeze it?
    - joined TCB..finally :( Don't know what took me so long as although I don't think I will use it much, I could use it when I book a train ticket which is several times a month and every little helps
    - OH has finished mending the shed (using a headtorch!) so that the chooks feed and bedding will now stay dry.
    - having problems with YNAB :( OH reconciling the accounts this morning has thrown out my year's budgeting. Not sure what to do, not having my income noted means that it looks like I am overbudgeting every month which is depressing. Oh well. No one died but it is a pain. They should still be in the scheduler. Don't want to make too much of a fuss otherwise he will go off deep end... :( (thats what a day of DIY does to you!)
    - grocery shopping, well more for washing & cleaning products really - after MOV cost £1.83. Result.
    - nice chat with my mum this evening - catching up and looking forward to watching W&P this evening :)

Think thats it. Back to school tomorrow. Its been a good break though - feel pretty positive about the year ahead. Long may it last.
