Sound. You're right Lucky. It's the reaction that's the point now.

Off to work out if I can bear to pay the tax bill. Think I will leave it for a few days !

At least you've pulled yourself back quickly. It's too easy to fall into spending again. You'll clear it soon enough :)

Thanks jwil. Hows the new addition?

Can't get over how mild it is here. Like late summer in some ways.

New chickens looking a bit sad. Think the one left from the carnage a few weeks ago is dominating them unduly :( I would like to let them out of the run but hard unless we are out there too as the fox took them in broad daylight :o

Off to sort the screen. Have just been into school tho and kids doing really well (not that we havent got areas for improvement DD2 - like not trying to complete your 2 hour homework in a 30 minute lunchtime) so nice start to the holibobs

  • Hey Mrs B,

how are you ? I am doing a crazy blitz of as many diaries I can get through before I need to collect DD2 tonight, after not having been on here in an age !

Don't beat yourself up about those spends we all know you will get yourself sorted again. I have realised that I definitely have managed money better when I have been posting regularly. Perhaps its the writing it all down that makes me stop and think before I spend, I'm not sure, but its easy done. Especially at Christmas and with two lovely girls to buy for ! :o

Glad the girls are doing well at school. Your homework comment made me laugh, DD2 is the opposite , she spent 6 solid hours on a piece of Drama homework a couple of Sundays ago, she was so determined that it had to be perfect first time, but 6 hours ?!!:eek:I think you and I need to find a happy medium on the homework front, 30 mins not long enough and 6 hours far too long :rotfl:

Did you sort the Screen ? if not just a thought, but Mr PG fixes ours. Think he pays about £10 off of e of bay for a new screen then he fixes it himself. Just a thought if OH is equally like minded ?

Anyway I'm off to catch up on another diary . Also do you know if Kerri is still around, not sure why but she crossed my mind today ?

Enjoy your weekend .....over and out xxx

Hey Mrs PG...look at that sig!! £54k! Awesome effort.

Yes, halfway house would be good :rotfl: I am planning to work with both of them over the hols to help do revision timetables etc but also try and get DD2. a bit more enthused about putting some effort in. She has friends who just fly at this stuff and I think it demotivates her if I am honest. So she bails. Want her to put some hard yards in now so that when she starts the GCSE courses at end of Y9 she is on a firmer footing.

Did another survey..£3 more in the pot:) small sale on EBay. £12 and auction hasn't finished yet so every little helps

Screens...hmm.. OH tried to fix my old phone's screen around a year ago. Failed spectacularly. So that wasn't an option this time!! :) I now have a glass protector on the screen too so hopefully it's more durable. Hats off to Mr PG getting to right...d'you know he could go into business doing repairs. There must have been 5 people on the store for the same thing when I was there! Was pricey but cheaper than @pple.

Relaxed day today. Probably going to push around some money across a few accounts and do a YNAB budget for 2016 to try and get us set up properly for 2016. Then off to see Star Wars. Yay!!

    Have a great weekend x

A week since I posted! Time flies.

All good but as ever, will be a v busy Xmas Eve..still loads of wrapping to do and as we are eating the main meal this eve so quite a bit to do...although a solid day in the kitchen yesterday was fun, helped enormously. Everyone helped which was good. Carols on...mulled cider...worse ways to spend a day :D

Have done YNAB for Jan and Feb..looking tight, but will have to give it a go.
Bargain of the week was boxes of baby peppers for £2.. Got 2 boxes and slow roasted them and have put them in jars with oil. Taste lush and SO much cheaper than buying them :) slow gin mountain going down, making very well received presents for everyone.

Best get off and at 'em.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a relaxing, stress free and healthy 2016 all. Thanks for all your support to me on here, it's always appreciated and has made a huge difference to us all here at Brizzle Terrace

Thanks PLMBL..and the same to you!

Good day yesterday? Recovering today? All calm here at Brizzle Terrace...which is good.. Hoping for a relaxing day today with just friends over for brunch.

Speaking of which must get a shimmy on.

Yesterday was a NSD and on Xmas Eve only spent £ on cheese. Although it was a lot of cheese! :D (some of which is being given out as presents!)
