Yes it was a lovely day although this morning was spent in our out of town shopping centre - kitting out two strapping teenage ds's and also getting stuff for Xmas. I'm now working a 35 hr week and don't want to be rushing round nearer the time!0

Preparing for Christmas!! Blimey you are organised..
I salute you. Having said that I am trying to get a little ahead for Christmas with making sloe gin. Started some today - I think I will try and do some hampers for Christmas. Maybe cheese from an amazing cheesemonger we know and some gin/liqueur will do the job and keep me to some sort of budget. It will also be useful..I do try and avoid giving stuff that is effectively tat/going to be another thing in a house, rather than having a use.
I also tried making cheese today. bit bland - needed more salt but dead easy and can see how you can make either sweet or savoury depending on what you'd like. All I needed was milk and lemon (and salt).
Also unblocked the slow running drain in the bath..yep this Brizzle knows how to live!! :rotfl: Kettles of boiling water and washing soda crystals seem to have done the trick. Did another PC survey too.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Thanks beanie - love knowing you are dropping in
Been speaking to OH this eve, well before he conked out on me - 26 miles plus work today has done for him poor love - I am the one staying up for DD1;)) do we go a&} BnB ? We'd certainly max the income from the room our lodger is in, or else do we instead up the rent to a market one when the anniversary comes around again? It's a tough one as altho not a friend, I rather like our lodger - she's trustworthy and good with us - but also thinking we need to max what we have. OH is dead against a&} BnB - too much effort he says and rightly points out he'll be the one squeezing fresh juice and buying pastries and changing bed linen when I have boogered off to work in another country..but I am not so sure. Idea of having that room back sometimes during the week but not losing on the overall income is strangely appealing. Steady income v. (potentially) higher income...that's the conundrum

My oldest has gone into town tonight - on a 6th form do! They've booked out The Fleece! Think they get kicked out at 2am. He's getting a lift home from a rather generous mum (not me!).
I won't be staying up but I guess I'll be disturbed at some point......0 -
The Fleece...OMG that is SO SO cool..
Quite frankly I am jealous (but don't tell him that! :rotfl:)
Yes..mine is less cool but more cerebral..off on a semi compulsory drama trip - the joys of Y11 GCSE DramaAt least its an earlier disturbance

How did you get ln with The Darkness? Not as good as Broadchurch IMO and I found the weird camera angles and close ups really annoying!
I am enjoying River though.......different!Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Thanks. He came in at just after 2.30. I only heard him as I had a disturbed night myself. He's still out for the count, and as I'm off out,I shall leave him. He's horrid when he's over tired...0
