Hi Pooh..great to hear from you.
Doing much better. Feeling focussed. Discretionary spends down. Still stuff like school trips coming out of the bluebut no new clothes and cutting right back on eating out which makes a huge difference. Having said that am celebrating going back part time with OH tomorrow..
but only going for breakfast before I see the accountant..oh I know how to live:rotfl: but its breakfast so wont be spendy.
Am also keeping well away from alcohol, that should help the budget!;)
Will be very relieved when the books are all up together. Then I am determined not to let it slip again. It stresses me when I don't know what the real picture is..much like our domestic/household accounts really.
Girls working hard, particularly DD1..GCSEs really kicking in now..:eek: Just done a PC survey..has anyone noticed that they are really frequent at the moment? Not exactly an observation based on any science but definitely feel like its several a month at the moment.
Love to all

Thanks everyone. Yes another lovely meal from DD1 after she had some science home tuition.. she did get a bit stressed but produced another lush meal. Pork chops in an apple jelly, mash and fennel, onion and apple medley. She is rightly pretty proud of herself but now realises how long these things take! As a thank you I helped her with a revision timetable..for her mocks. She finds it hard to prioritise. (..I said dont we all?!
)
Mr B in a marginally better place..but not out of woods yet. We have day off together today though as too many jobs needed doing around the house...he is currently defrosting freezer and I am doing financial admin!!:rotfl: We know how to live here!!
Money wise..started doing some Christmas shopping with some vouchers and free postage offers. So that'll be a hit on the current account, but all in all in so much better place than for many years. I do thank you all on here for the support..you have all been wonderful and I can really see that we may well be MF in 6 years or less. A wonderful feeling. Definitely an incentive to curb unecessary spends and focus on the big picture. Stacking money away in ISAs and a pension is also important. Makes me feel much more secure.
Your sig DDFW reminds me tho..do need to do more decluttering. May be a job for Half Term..
Have a good day and hope the sun keeps shining

Whoops.
Bought P8 and Ho@bbs sales goodies yest....:o but in my defence I can tell from YNAB last time bought work clothes was June last year...so was feeling pretty threadbare given currently working 5 days....some might go back, but all sale items so some sense there.
Whoops 2
Heating went on yesterday evening...sorry Alice! Are you remaining strong? I wasn't sure our lodger could cope...she was making hot water bottles and practically wearing a coat in the house...so gave in.
