Busy day today but a productive one. Still waiting to hear about work, am thinking I may not know until end of week at earliest what options are.

HM lunch and a great dinner of JO's carbonara this eve...thanks OH :)

Trying to keep spends to minimum....bring it on for the MFiF..(mortgage free in 5:))

Well done on the paperwork Brizzle! I didn't manage to do any over the weekend but I did a couple of hours today and I had a bit of a tidy up too.
I need to do some more tomorrow...I think about 4 or 5 hours should do it. Fingers crossed. :)

Was also thinking about keeping on top of it better. Do you fly lady? Think I should try and have a named evening in the week when I do the paperwork perhaps to stop it building up?

    Thanks jwil.

Need to agree a week day when I can do paperwork.. Just often get too knackered. Last night case in point. In bed by 9 as alarm going off at 5:30 every morning this week. Think in future will be Thursdays as OH usually out and so doesn't impinge too much.

    Will try it tomorrow!

Pulled pork for lunch and dinner this week! But it's been lush. Made a stir fry last night with some oyster sauce I found in back of the cupboard. DDs particularly appreciative! :)

No payment on panels.. Think mix up when sent in the reading:( Next quarter it is then. Have also stashed another £1k towards the mortgage. Determined it will be gone in 5!!:D

    hope everyone good.

So...earlier finish today which was useful given the roads and congestion. Yikes!!

Been head down at work this week and a few early nights as so shattered from the pace and the early starts. Hoping to go out with OH this eve to see a band :) Just local but should be fun and as a treat getting the girls TA pizza.

Just done a PC study so another £3 in due course. They do come in bunches don't they..been quite a few recently.

Good friend has done some external painting for us..taking advantage of the good weather and fact he is between jobs. Looks so much better. He's done it for real mates rates and I am so v v grateful. We will try and do some childcare for him later next month to say thanks.

Quiet weekend this weekend...more paperwork to do. May also try and start my invoicing this weekend, easing the pressure on Wednesday. Planning to do some paperwork on Sunday morning again whilst OH goes for a run...oh I do know how to live :rotfl:

Have a great weekend everyone x

  • Great that DD'd are doing lots of cooking, great for confidence and independence. I have a friend who has an 19 year old son who went to local university who is living at home so mum can cook clean and wash for him - so that he can "focus" on studying......., no rent, no food costs, no beer costs (doesn't socialise as drives home!), no hassle.

Hmmmm. glad he's not my son! ROTFL.

Well done on getting the external paintwork sorted. Ours needs sorting and we need some other jobs doing outside too. Must sell more stuff to fund it.
Good luck with the paperwork this weekend.
