Ooh, I really want some frazzles now
That's frustrating about the ebay parcel. I've done it before as well. It's always the one where you have no proof of posting isn't it!
We were up at the weekend doing some of the Shaun the Sheep trail. Will be back up in a few weeks to get some more ticked off. Little jwil (and we) loved walking across the suspension bridge, never done that before!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi brizzled, just popping in to see how you are doing.
I am very jealous of your allotment. Ours doesn't have much in it and definitely no gooseberries. We worked ours for a couple of hours yesterday after having complaints from our neighbours.
Full time work sounds like it is exhausting you. Can you do a little less but still survive?business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Hi lovelies, thanks for popping by.
Good things.. SO ridiculously relieved that the motorway was clear for me coming home after another exhausting week. Thrilled that the parcel turned up so the refund has been repaid (and thank goodness for honest peeps!) and so we are still up on the sales targets. The kids have raised £100 so far with the cast off toys..with a few days of auction still to go. Going out with friends this eve and finally, its the end of term! Whoop!
The Shaun the Sheep trail is great..we have seen a few too. My favourite is still the crocheted one in St Nick's Market. 500 hours of work went into that and its magic
Still not sure how much longer I can cope with being full time but off on hols in a few days so can survive until then. Money wise it'd be fine Pooh...its just that we haven't built a big enough buffer yet and also that being a freelancer I don't know what the future will hold so the temptation is always to never turn work down, or turn away when the going is good.
Wish you lived closer Pooh..could send you kilos of them. Its a huge gooseberry bush -probably decades old - and seems really productive.
Hope you all have a great weekend

Hi folks
All good here but can't wait for the weekend and then holibobs loom. Feel I need to do some real thinking this summer as to how I can get us absolutely on track and focussed again on saving rather than spending.
First week of kids hols almost over and juggling has gone pretty well. Its always an issue but pleased we haven't paid for any childcare for over a year now..although have to hand over bit of money for smoothies in cafes etc..! so not entirely a NSD!
Thinking on next year and wondering if we should keep our lodger..its easy money but sometimes think I want my house back. But definitely no students next year. Its too exhausting given mine and OH's hours and stresses at the mo.
Panels powering up well and YNAB a dream. Really can't speak highly enough of it!
Hope everyone is having a good Thursday eve.

Brizzle - we've done 22 Shaun's so far,but I haven seen the St Nick's one yet. Got totally soaked yesterday when we were doing the trail, but carried on regardless!
Two weeks holiday and then back to hunting. I'd like to see all 70! We shall see.0 -
Brizzle is your lodger full time? How about a mid-week lodger, so that you have your house to yourselves at the weekend?
My brother used to work away Monday - Friday, so he'd lodge with someone from (7p.m. ish) Monday night to Friday morning (7a.m. ish), He did that for over 10 years in various locations. Always choosing a lodging for easy access to his job, as he would commute by train. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Thanks guys.
Yes that might be the way forward although our current lodger is no hassle at all. Feel a bit mean to be even considering it, but it's so lovely when the house is completely ours iyswim. We are in a city with lots of IT contractors working here for example so it might be worth looking into. With the increase in the amount next year you can get before paying tax, though, still think on balance i should suck it up and take the cash. Easy money after all.
So so glad it's the weekend. Good day today. More work available if I want it..
8 day week anyone
More thinking required!!!
