    Hello folks

    Hope everyone is keeping well.

All good in Brizzleland.Money ticking along and spending money on renovating the garden to make it a nicer place to be. Pension fund riding high, thanks to current share prices (rather than any innate investment skill on my part!) Just done some more PC surveys and cashed in points. Panels playing up - but manufacturer onto it so fingers crossed.

Big decision this week is to have a half way house. I have agreed to work more days, well as many as I can in June/July, and then see how it goes. I will not drive myself into the ground for this. Work are happy. I will get some more cash - you never know whats around the corner - but I have not committed to working full time in the medium term which was important to me. I need a Plan B. I also had a long chat with my beloved sister and I am giving up my charity work. I just can't fit it in and its killing me not to give it the right amount of time and support but just now its the easiest thing to 'lose'..work and family aren't options to 'lose' right now and so this is easier/the most obvious route. I also need to find time for me and DH. Someone else will have to pick up the slack..am sure they will. Resignation letter will be written this week.

Have a week off with kids and friends now. OH away for work. Will miss him but can't wait for a week of sleep, no plans and quality time with kids.. oh and lots of prosecco! :rotfl:

Hi Brizzle - grea that you have made a wise decision regarding the working hours.

Also giving up the charity work is a healthy life choice though ti must have been hard.

Time with DH is very important. My hubby and I haven't had a date night yet this year so I really need to get one sorted as we talk about loads and really enjoy going out on our own :D xx

Thanks OF. Still think it's the right thing to do. Am so very very tired all the time tho so need to start taking better care of myself.

On train with kids off to meet up with friends for a break. OH away for work so a good call I think. V handy strike was called off and with a railcard think it's comparable with fuel and much much less stress. No parking costs either which there would have been otherwise.

Have bought lunch and snacks for the journey although did get a sneaky latte ( skinny to try and be healthier) with a 10% discount.

Panels still not translating into units on the grid. Real pain as this is our peak period. Hopefully will get sorted soon tho.

Still haven't written my resignation letter..must do that. Also think I am going to aim for a nap every day. Set me up for what will be a long 2 months ahead...

Hope everyone having a great long weekend or if working it's bearable

Boo to panels not working.........we had a problem about 12 months after installed but the company came out and sorted it for us. We have just had a solar switch fitted so all stuff generated that we are not using will heat hot water slowly through out the day - its fab!!

We've got the water heating thingy - ours is called immmersun and since we had panels installed last October we have never put the hot water on.

We nearly fitted an immersun as this was what was recommended............flipin pricey though:eek: Bit of research and we found something that does exactly the same thing and comes in for less than half the price............just letting you know if anyone out there is thinking about fitting one. The electrician fitting it was so impressed he went out and bought one for himself even though his company make you think there is only one gizmo that will do the trick:rotfl:

I've been away for a while so it is good to be able to read such positive posts. The resignation sound like the best plan of action for you. And a nap a day :) My physio recommended that I have a nap each day. I never do.

Thanks all. Lovely and v v heart warming to have you reading my diary. Yay..thanks everyone.

Pooh.. I managed 1 sleep...not brilliant but not bad I thought! Lots of early nights too. OH on his way home which is always good and he's feeling chipper, so a useful work trip.

Word back from panels folks, seems to be something to do with wiring so need to sort next week. Gas and electric seem to be going up which I hate.

Have to attend to DD1.. Back in a mo!!
