Well folks it was lush. Really nice. Long long walk but lots to see and do despite getting lost on one path despite a map and compass - doh!

Another FT week this week. Tough but hanging on in there. It's all cash in bank after all.

£161 so far this month from sales. Now that's worth the effort :D

Hope everyone is good and happy

    Thanks guys.

Another long busy week but we are getting into a rhythm which is helping family dynamics and kids are doing less homework which helps. Flying to Greece with girls for a week in a few days which will be lush...but think I will be taking plenty of euros and checking the insurance policy to see what it covers in terms of loss. Luckily we are half board so think we will get food and drink at least. Really uncertain situation isn't it.. Scary times for the Greek people I think. Not knowing what the future might hold is tough for everyone.

Quiet weekend I think..recuperating from the week just gone and also we will get a student to stay for a few weeks on Sunday. Worked well last year so no reason to suppose won't work this time. A another thing on the radar but as you folks know it's all income which is important ;)

Enjoying the warm weather..hope you are all too. Panels working at full stretch again, it was a knackered inverter, we now have a new one so that's good.

    Hi Brizzle,
Sounds like you been really busy and the ebay selling - am
amazing! Hope the rest of DD's exams went well, I always feel really sorry that kids have to revise in summer :(

I haven't had any students this year as was finding it too restricting, but am keeping options open so when things with my parents are a bit more settled, will try getting that rental income again too.

Have a lovely break in Greece, am very jealous:)

Hi folks, NOA thanks for dropping by. Hope alls well.

Having students to stay( currently 2 but will drop to 1) is a faff, and yet another thing on the radar, but it's also quite nice to open up your life for a bit, and they seem really pleased to be here...always gratifying!! We have the lodger too..shows no sign of moving out so its a full house especially in the mornings with only 1 bathroom..:)

Quite a few chores to do this weekend... Sorting eBay sales, have taken photos but need to sort postage fees and listing, bit of DIY...think about dinner and meal plan next week, bit of fruit picking at allotment...you know all the usual stuff. Working full time is good for the bank balance but much less so for the domestic front.

Need to update my sig file. ISA account looking pretty healthy although not much in the 'normal' savings accounts...

    Hi folks

In reflective mood again about money..think we are in danger..no, know we are in danger of slipping off track again. I am going for a run in a moment and will use that time to think...writing that I am going for a run will also make me go, rather than make excuses!, ;)

Yesterday picked loads of lovely fruit from the allotment. Drowning in gooseberries and so made a lush elderflower and gooseberry ice cream which will be perfect for dinner tonight. Loving the good weather. Spent too much in town getting ready for the holiday, as well as annoying things like mobile phone repairs ( kids not me..grr..altho I do have guarantees that will get assistance of some additional chores as compensation). But generally..need to get things in order. Will make an appointment with the accountant to give the necessary kick up the backside.

Working full time and v long hours is hard but does have the benefit of bringing in more cash. Not sure how sustainable it is though health and practicality wise. Seem to have gone backwards in terms of WLB.

Think will aim for posting on here'd say 3x week to keep me focused. It was certainly more mindful when I was on here. Still religiously using YNAB but need to make more savings and spend less. What I am worried is that we are earning more but then also spending more and as Tilly etc have often said, it's the consuming less that makes the real step change. We have also fallen back on our goals for reducing the mortgage.

Have a rare few minutes to myself just now so thought I woudl drop by for a very quick catch up ( a skim reading catchup, you know me !!)

Just wanted to say that you will be fine Mrs B and will back on track. You have sorted things before and you will sort it all again , I am absolutely sure of that.

I hope that run cleared a few cobwebs and gave you some thinking time. I, on the other hand am sitting here with a bag of frazzles and a glass of PG. I know its a bit early, but been one of those days !! ;);)

Thanks PG...bag of frazzles!, now that is class ;) Glad to know the PG is still going strong...seem to go for the bargain prosecco these days myself. Trying not to drink at beginning of week..so no wine for me today...

I do feel a little better but exhausted too. Early night I think. These early starts are doing for me really.

eBay sales going well altho had a meaty refund:mad: on one item as the buyer said they had not received it and OH didn't have proof of of posting  He won't be doing that again, especially on such an expensive item. Cheque banked for students and lodgers rent cleared today so that's all good.

Think I need a holiday and for the rain to disappear..altho it is helping the grass so not all bad :)
