Hi there..its good fun but we haven't really been hunting them. Only 8 I think. But kids (and I!!;)) liked bagging them

Got a decent bid now on item. Was going to CS it but bids standing at £30 so worth putting on the Bay of E

Also started Marie Kondos book this weekend. Certainly food for thought.

    Hi brizzled!

I'd stumbled across this book accidentally a few weeks ago and pondered buying it - please let me know what you think and if it's worth the purchase!

Ha!! Know what you mean in some ways beanie but the ideas of tidying everything in that category...and not a room at time. Doing everyone's stuff and not just your own....not gifting it to others or storing it..just 2 rules - discard or keep and find a place for it.

Think has has to be a middle ground here :D and maybe be v charitable and say maybe the translation needs work! ;)

Good day today..although only realised that about 3 hours ago!!

    LOs for dinner.

Lovely long soak in bath got my mojo back

Large tax refund paid in. Can't believe it's right but for moment it's sitting in my account. The reconciliation if needed can happen in a few months time. Maybe they are right..who knows the real working of THEM??!! ( Just to be on safe side am making into an OP on mortgage so can get back if nec)

Bid up to £40 on something we were going to give away..

House is clean and tidy. Feels very calming :) (but before you ask beanie, it was nothing to do with Marie....no folding or de cluttering happened today ;) )

    Hey Brizzle :)

Glad you had a nice holiday and yay for big tax refunds!

It's nice when you get good prices for something you were going to throw away.

The biggest thing I got from the Marie Kondo book was the bit about handling things and seeing if they 'spark joy'. It makes a big difference in deciding whether to keep something or not for me.

I also thought that life was too short for folding stuff, but it's really amazing the difference it makes in space and storing stuff, and how tidy it looks!

There is an awful lot of waffle in the book though and some of it is quite airy fairy.

Thanks guys. Yes I think it's a question of golden nuggets within the MK book...some of it takes some sifting through to get the things that can be quite pertinent and relevant

Just had nice dinner out with OH. All too rare :o

DD1 did really well in the 2 GCSEs she took early. Thrilled for her. She had begun to convince herself that she had dropped a couple of grades, but she hadn't

    Hope everyone is OK

Shattered. Have come home from work and fallen asleep. Zonked.

OH says he feels the same...think we need a holiday. But before that need to hand over a collect eBay sale. Better heave myself into action.

Weather is pretty miserable isn't it? Feel like we could do with sun..
