    Well, today...

It's been lovely. Currently sitting in bed..one DD is here too...the other went about10 mins ago. OH is outside in the front garden having a few drinks and some food with the neighbours..thats where i was a few moments ago.really great day filled with family and social stuff. Love it. And no money spent apart from £1.20 for an ice cream and £3 for some zoo parking.

Spent £72 in ALd: today. Think it's cheaper but am now planning to check as not so sure. However won't need to do that kind of basics shop next week- only butchers and veg box needed.

May go to the allotment tomorrow. Really need to think about what to plant. Haven't decluttered today, but am keen to do that and maybe start another EBay list. OH has had a mixed piece with Amazion. A couple of disgruntled customers is adding to the stress and putting him off a bit.

So..no family movie night but spent not a thing as socialised with neighbours. A lovely time

Hope everyone is well and having a good time x

  • Hi Brizzle, sounds like you had a very pleasant day and evening with family and friends. Which zoo did you go to? We have a zoo in Hamilton but it's nowhere near as big as the one in Chester (near in-laws). Still it's a pleasant way to spend an afternoon although boys are getting a little too old for visits to the zoo.

We're just debating what to plant in our garden. Apart from a few tomatoes and chillies we've run out of everything and have been busy getting the boxes ready for the next lot of plants.

    Hi there Box of Fluffies

It ws Bristol Zoo.. A pretty good one I guess and we had a great time.

Today was spent in the garden, rather than the allotment, but all good tidying up stuff. The bin is full to overflowing! Bought some bedding plants from B&Q..mostly reduced and have put them in. some foxgloves and poppies too..the last lot of foxgloves were ripped out by the hens..will have to watch these, they are under plastic cloches at the moment..too big for squash bottle tops unfortunately.

Am planning to crash out now. A busy day working in the sun has been quite exhausting..oh and cooked a roast and dessert too..am pooped!!!

    Love to all

:D Me too!! And (to out-of-contextedly quote Louis Armstrong!) what a wonderful world! You sound to have had a great few days and the low spending hasn't spoilt your enjoyment in any way. We just do things a bit differently nowadays :).

Thanks Happy...yes I feel in a good place. Which is nice and for me a lot of it is about feeling in control. Not being in control is hard for me at any time:p but when it was about something as critical as money and our finances then it really hurt. But as my diary title suggests I had a LBM in  2003 reading Your Money or Your Life ( the American one) and just carried on living the high life until well about 3 months ago. This is really when I have started to try and get a grip on spending and where all the cash goes.

Am going into hospital for a small op so maybe away from my beloved MSE world for a few hours...I will miss you all;) but hopefully will be back on here very soon plotting and planning my way to complete debt freedom!! :rotfl:

Today I completed a grocery shop alongside a meal planner. Had loads of sloes still in the freezer so had to buy some gin :D so that's another 5 bottles made. I find it makes great Xmas presents...well any kind of present actually!! So made that this eve. Doesn't count in the grocery budget- will push it across to the presents budget and just make sure I don't drink it:A

washing went on low and then was dried ( just about) outside. TD and a coffee table both have offers on Freecycle which is great. The TD is broken so is just taking up space and now we no longer have reusable nappies to dry. ( my youngest is 8!:rotfl:) we should really get rid of it. There will be no replacement. It would be a under shelf freezer or nowt I have decided.

Think that's it. Only a tax return and some work expenses to do.... must get on with those. Am putting it off for some reason:rotfl: hmm... Allotment planning ..that sounds much more interesting!!:T

    Off now. See y'all soon!

Indeed, allotment planning sounds much more exciting than completing your tax return and expenses. :p

Hope your op goes well and that you're back in MSE world before long.
