Well done you! Solar panels are something I will eventually look into, but not for a good few years. I can't wait to own my own place. I'm also settling into my evening with a nice SB
I used to charity shop a lot, unfortunately its just as addictive for me as regular shopping - although I suppose at least there is a price difference and you do get the thrill of a "find". I think I'm actually going to challenge myself not to buy any clothes in March at all. o____O It might kill me, but here's hoping I can do it!LBM June'12; £3285.61DFD [STRIKE]Aug'15[/STRIKE] Feb'13!

Good luck on your challenge Minii..If you can go cold turkey then do!! If not as you say it's cheaper and you still get that wave of joy at a real bargain!!:D
Today has been lovely. Haven't got around to doing any work yet but have been chilling and browsing on here as well as reading the papers online.
The best bits from today have been
- the chooks laid an egg in a flowerpot..in our garden..so no need to pester the neighbours!!
-£2.32 from the panels!! yay!!
- a good trip to the allotment tidying, digging over and weeding. All looks pretty good really. I love sunny days at this time of year when I get all optimistic about growing stuff and planning all the produce to come...it's only later in the season when it sometimes doesn't work out! We are planning to really concentrate on salad this year as it will save us a fortune. We have lots of fruit anyway eg. Strawberries, Raspberries, gooseberries, rhubarb and apple trees and planted more fruit trees just before Xmas. We will do potatoes, beans, peas and sweet corn. cucumber and tomatoes tho will be back at our house as much easier to water regularly! OH and DDs were there, OH was a true worker. DDs enjoyed it too so a nice break in the fresh air. Also found found a lot of seeds and even some artichoke tubers when I came homeOH has planted up a cold frame and we will plant the tubers when we go down next weekend
- cooked a nice dinner from stores and now watching episodes from series 1 of Merlin... Love it. Raspberry ripple icecream soon...it tastes lush Mrs PG! Guessed the quantity of vanilla and its yummy..:D Good family entertainment and now all i have to do is put the woodburner on and I am set for the evening!! Have a glass of PG by my side too. For anyone interested I rate it better than ALD!s SB....and it's about £2 a bottle cheaper...but as you can imagine I needed to test to be sure:rotfl:MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Well it sounds as though you had the perfect day yesterday !
Now I really need to get my bottom into gear and make this ice cream now don't I, you are putting me to shame ! I will have to check out Freemans Bay, I don't think Ive ever tried it. I had terrible wine on fri from A£da 3 for 10, I can't remember the name of it but I only had one glass and got a terrible headache.
Your family evening sounds wonderful, we had that in mind yesterday, only my lovely DD's went upstairs to put their PJs on and didn't come back down again or an hour, by which time it was too late to settle down for a lovely family evening with school the next morning ! Am I the only person with DD's who disappear, never to be seen again into the deepest darkest depths of the bedroom ?!! You guessed correctly. Since we put a desk and laptop/computer in the boys bedrooms they seem to only come out when it's time for food! :rotfl: Actually, it's not quite that bad we did all sit down on Saturday evening to watch the premiere of Terra Nova. Not really my thing but hey, not turning my nose up at family time. It's so rare these days.:DDiary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

I'm guilty of doing the bedroom-vanishing. I couldn't tell you what's so great about it except that I can be on the laptop with my back on the radiator so I'm toasty. I recently started trying to make more effort, so if I'm reading a book, I'll take it & my duvet into the lounge. :]LBM June'12; £3285.61

Ooh, new boots. Bet they're keeping your feet nice and toasty.
I'm with you on the packaging up, it's the worst part of selling on Ebay don't you think?Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hi all
Just a quick fly by..yeah Box of Fluffies, the boots are lovely and smart enough for work but good enough for casual too. I love them. Don't normally go for brown leather, but it works!!
We have had a mixed week money wise. I spent on work clothes and boots last week (Monday) as I had important stuff that week, presentations and the like and retreated into making sure I looked up to the job (if you know what I mean!:rotfl:) Only today I have just booked the DDs skiing lessons for when they go in a few weeks' time.....BUT..on the reverse we have had lots of LSDs, have bought no groceries, had lunches with friends when we just had "Use Ups" (as they called it..great phrase for leftovers I thought!) and have cleared loads of stuff on EBay..even an old fireplace gained £100..OH was very surprised and pleased at that one I can tell you! Simply amazed he was!! (but from my good friends on here I knew it was worth a bit to someone!!!!:rotfl: I have also relisted some stuff which did'nt sell...am totally amazed at how easy it is to list and relist. I agree, packing is a pain but the last lot was OK so onwards and upwards today
I even managed to get the postage in the right ballpark..astonishing!! :-0
So a mixture. Have the day semi 'on leave' today so will try and post more soon. Haven't been on the forum for ages so must also catch up on some diaries!! Hope everyone is doing well!!
