Oh for an A$di in Hamilton. I used to love my local one in Dunfermline. Food is so expensive in NZ. There are only really 4 supermarkets but they are owned by the same 2 companies, so there's not really any competition. Most foodstuffs are imported from Oz.
Well done on the decluttering Brizzled. We've been slowly chipping away at some of our rooms but still have way too much stuff. Think we may have to do some more this weekend as it's looking a little gloomy outside.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

I love a good declutter -I have a laundry basket full of clothes hiding on top of my wardrobe - really ought to get around to sorting and selling them. Whenever I go home I always end up getting rid of things, and I can't say I've ever missed any, except one t-shirt I mislaid in 09, and a leopard print cardigan, which may have been better off being lost... ;]LBM June'12; £3285.61

Hi all (and a special hello and welcome to our NZ friends...havent been to the NI yet..but loved the SI when I went..) leopard print cardigan minii..now that sounds fun!!!
Al&I is great. In fact I am very impressed. OK I still get our organic veggie box delivery (plus milk etc) and I do go to the Co-+p cos its local and I am a committed user due to its ethical credentials....BUT....the Swiss sms are good. Its simple, there is not lots of choice and so it makes shopping easy. I am all in favour of that. I will look forward to popping in and I will probably get all I need...yeah OK there would be loads of stuff in sms that I might want but its what I need that counts...!
Over and out! Thanks for popping by xMFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Wow, you've been busy, well done! You're a shining, decluttering example to me and I am determined to make a start this weekend. I've put loads of work into reducing my outgoings, but done nothing to increase my incomings. And the thought of swapping some of my clutter for cash is very appealing! Ebay just has to be my next project, but I've been putting it off for a couple of months now. I seem to have a bit of a mental block with it, not sure why .LBM Dec 2011. hi guys
well.....hit AL$I in a rush as OH had somewhere else to go to with DD1 and it didnt go well..am £21.00 over my groceries budget (revised one)...it was all such a rush with everyone chucking stuff in the trolley that I couldnt keep track. Took a list but am not sure some items were necessarily that cheap (eg. porridge oats at 79p..think they are cheaper at the co=p tbh) and we got some extras too.
Feel disappointed at myself really as last night I had such high hopes:(
Plus I was also to blame...lets be honest about this..in this virtual world:o..I also bought some really well priced fish for the freezer and some dark chocolate..so I know where the extra went. 3 bottles of wine as well..some great SB for £5.49 and some PG (purchased in honour of the great Mrs PG for £3.49)..I will have a taste competition between them all later/over the week!
So..onwards and upwards. Tbh even with the overspend its still the smallest amount we have ever EVER spent on groceries in a month so I guess we should feel good about that and the real message is that even with a list, hitting the sm in a rush is not MSE!!! You make bad judgements!
Last night was good - good company and MSE wise - spent £8.50 on food and £21.00 on drinks (some for other people I hasten to add). Anyway grabbing a few minutes with a cuppa before I go to the hairdressers..(got the date wrong, it was today!)...will read a few diaries and ignore the kitchen surfaces!! One good thing is that we needn't buy another thing this weekend (unless I find a pair of great work boots!)
On the decluttering.. for those of you with LOs, it was much easier with DC at school. But it was the listing that took me aback..its so easy to do it. That was my block Happy Now..but with some photos and the quick listing its great and sometimes even free. Do you have a PayPal account? Even if some of these items dont go then it was worth a try and I think I posted on here (or on one of your diaries anyway!) that some items its worth keeping hold of..a CD single that Music Magpie wouldnt buy is now on Amazon for over £20...we have a copy so when he gets a chance OH will list it and see what he gets.MFiT-T4 Member No. 96 - 2022 is my MF goal

Hurrah for other leopard print lovers! You have inspired me to get on with ebaying some of my stuff. Have just decluttered my wardrobe (again) and am frankly horrified by how much I own. Some of this stuff was only bought last month and I'd already forgotten about it. *guilty*
