  • Just a quick post I popped into Asda last night for milk. I thought that all the woopsies were place together ie all veg together and all meat and dairy together. Last night I was walking through the veg section and found that a lot of yellow stickered items were in there normal place and i found the bargains there now I wondered what I have missed.
I did get noodles for 20p
    Necturines for 10p
  • Skintmum, well done you having the willpower not to get a McDs!! I woudl have passed out with hunger if i had to wait to 11 for my dinner.... or ended up eating the
    pets lettuce!!

Im feeling better that im not the only one that feels guilty about buying so much eleanor! I tried to hide a veggie haggis in the freezer the other day but got rumbled!!

I cant remember if ive said on here or not but I have given bf my joint account card (had taken off me) to stop myself. Bad thing is though, he has given me it back as we need bread, milk and bananas on my way home tonight. This will be the real test!!!

  • @ needtosavE - even though you aren't supposed to buy any more reduced, if you need it will use it either immediately or have freezer space then so long as it is like 75% off im sure you would be forgiven :)

I dindn't manage to get to co-op this morning, something came up, had to nip in to get more milk etc about 12 as didn't really enjoy my coffee with no milk, was looking for last night's reduced, the person who was on must be only one that clears the shelves in the morning, perhaps as so much !! so no free butter for me, just wish it was todays date and would have stocked up as at £4 odd a kilo its pretty expensive!!

hope everyone has a good day today, not sure if i'll bother, though I think I 'leveled up' last night on freezer tetris (thanks flippin36 - think that hit the spot with everyone) Managed to get everything in with space to spare and without taking anything out. So will have more room tonight once take fridays dinner out.

Think will have fish suppers for saturday lunch before we head out and that will use up some nice pollack that was 2.99 a kilo @ lidl a while back, no room in freezer for frozen chips but have nice potatoes that need used so will try and triple cook them properly again, come out like real chippy chips :)

    Take care everyone :)

Hi everyone, just been directed here for woopsie tips!
Im trying to get woopsies but not having any luck, I think I'm misjudging the timings! we have a local Morrisons and they dont reduce much (only take 50p off a joint etc, where I want joints reduced down to 50p!!), and when they do, its only reduced a tiny bit. They say they are not allowed to put it back on the shelf, so its left on a little table on wheels in the isle, theres usually only 5 or 10 items reduced, as Ive seen them doing it.

Anyone got any tips for reductions in the 24hour Tescos? (Im finding this difficult to judge as I assume reductions are made a couple of hours before closing time, but how do you know with a shop open 24hours!!?)

It is a bit of pot luck - I imagine they still shut at 4pm Sundays? If so try to go about 3.15pm and hang about a bit? In the week try it about half 7-9.30. it really does depend on who is working and what waste is around. I said this before but for me it is about incorporating it into my life so if I walk past a shop even if it isn't the best time I still pop in and have a look. On Weds in Tescos near me they had some stuff that wasn't reduced that much but for some reason the quorn sausages, posh sausages and bagels were about 75% off or more. So sometimes I don't think there is any rhyme or reason!! Good luck!

@ ELEANOR73 - good luck with freezer tetris, hide the stuff u got at back or eat it before he notices ;)

I have a new strategy - the bagels I bought were for him so I just now distract him with something that is for him and he gets excited then hopefully I can sneak the stuff in the freezer!!!

no tips for tesco i have never had much look there, i keep on trying though when i pass. when i go to morrisons the ys are always in their own department. i'm popping out after for birthday present and a few items so will pop into both on way back. asd@ have always had the best reductions for me after 6pm seems the best time to go.

I'm struggling to stop buying food at the moment :o I went into Asd* with my MIL as she wanted steak I needed nothing but left with streaky bacon 75p, actimel £1.05, filled pasta 60p and french beans 50p. Only £2.90 but I didn't need it, we'll use it but I could have managed without. The bacon will go in the freezer but I have 8 packets in their already.
My MIL found loads, but she needed it.:o
I just find it all sooooo tempting....

Completely understand the so tempting bit, I'm on 3 freezers now. Last year my MIL wanted to get rid of her big chest freezer:T:Tso I happily relieved her of it. She's hardly used it so I've got it now.She couldnt understand why I wanted it when I've already got 2! I am just on a real mission now to try and work my way through all the food and have sorted the freezers out so as the freezer in doors has the stuff that I really should use first. Trouble is I just can't resist either, last night I nipped out and came back with 2 more packets of chicken fillets, but they were 80p and I do use a lot of them, and I couldnt say no for 80p;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

I saw at Mr T roses for £45:eek: if OH had bought those ones he would find me sobbing to the floor rather than jumping up and down with happiness:rotfl::rotfl:

The yellow stickers have been noted by my DS, I asked him what he wanted for lunch, bacon he said, I have none I said, yes you do in the freezer from morries we got the other day in the yellow sticker section, get them out, defrost, cook and I will have that for lunch:rotfl: so that is what I did, along with the tiger baps I got for 9p very cheap lunch:D

I have noticed though I have a mish mash of stuff now so going to attempt to create lovely meals from all the stuff that does not seem to go to gether to make room for more stuff:D
