Well computerfixer, i wish you were right! I did my usual and couldnt resist. I was selective though and only bought a whole chicken for £1.24 and a pack of leeks for 44p. Yes, a WHOLE chicken for £1.24, down from a fiver! I couldnt believe my eyes! But, no, he's still not happy as there was chicken breasts in the freezer that have been there for weeks. Oh well, roasted it last night and will have it in a curry tonight. Leeks wil do potato and leek soup for lunches next week.

Also, seen on HUKD that ASDA were selling 2 340g jars of Whole Earth Peanut Butter for £1. Inipped in on my way ome last night and there was no sign of the offer. I asked the guy at the till to check and it worked. He said it must have been a mistake but he just 'does what the machine tells him'! They showed as PNB on the list but at the bottom, where the multi buys come off it said 'Pineapple 2 for £1@:rotfl::rotfl: Love it when they make mistakes like that!

I'm sure he wont be complaining when he's eating nice home made tattie and leek souop with the nice stock you will get from a chicken carcass. Not had a chicken in a while as never see them reduced, and at £1 odd is a bargains as get a couple meals out of it :)

Remember to remid him when he says the soup is nice that it wouldnt have been nearly as tasty without that chicken and you'l win him round ;)

    Take care :)

There is a certain amount of luck involved in yellow sticker hunting. I come away with nothing many times (you get used to the disappointment). Thats why when you see good buys you really need to go for it, it makes up for the times its rubbish. I would normally say Sundays are really bad for YS as its just too busy and there is too much competition. But last Sunday needed to go for packed lunches so thought may as well go at 2.30. Arrived just as they were stacking the reduction trolleys :j. But that is the first Sunday in ages.

  • Morning, oh stocked up at m0rrisons last night on 30p veg and fruit as the offer ends today i believe, also he picked up a stuffed belly pork joint from £5.51 to £1.10 which we will be having for dinner later on, hope i like it the others will,he also grabbed bread rolls reduced to 9p and some pies. he also very kindly let me look in asd@ when he picked me up from work where i felt i needed to buy a gammon joint as they were on offer, i dont think it was nearly a good deal after i read about the lidle gammon joints, never mind its bought now, also picked up fresh herbs 5p a pack and 3 tubs of creme fraiche which i have put in the freezer, enjoy your day.

I buy the odd thing but usually the yellow stickers are on stuff I never use. I did manage to get carrots & baking potatoes for 30p each though. There was a woman in Morrison this morning who had a basket & a trolley, & she was going for it like her life depended on it. It was fascinating watching her, it made me smile as I wondered if it was someone from here.
